Hey dudes,

I wanted to give a shout out to LSDGuy AKA HyperSteve for telling me about City Hunter. Its just another classic anime from the late 80's I'd never heard of, I cant stop watching it. Its about a bounty hunter in modern day japan, hes a badass, but hes also kind of a creeper. Hes always trying to get the girl and always succeeds but not without creeping them out first by looking down their shirt or something. For the most part its a serious show, but theres some good humor bits in every episode.

If you like anime, check it out

PS that music kicks ass

It's already on my extremely long "to watch" list, which also includes other such classics as Future Boy Conan, Urusei Yatsura, Ranma 1/2, and several Ghibli films.

I've watched or am part way through several others, including Lupin III, Battle Of The Planets / Gatchaman, The Slayers, Evangelion, Cowboy Bebop, Dirty Pair, Gundam, Robotech, You're Under Arrest, Cutey Honey (sic) and Tenchi Muyo.

Yes folks, I do love a bit of old school anime!

Ive seen all of the ghibli films except pom poko and our neighbors the yamadas. All are exquisite pieces of art. Never heard of You're Under Arrest, i'll have to look that one up. and thanks for reminding me about The Slayers, I had the VHS for the first 3 seasons, back in the day when buying a season of VHS meant you also acquired some kick ass side art

The non-sequential nature and overlapping DVD releases of the various series, films and OAVs of The Slayers brought me out in a fit of OCD and I had to create a spreadsheet to keep track of it all!

If you want to go really old school, and know where to look online, there are fansubs of a few black & white 1960s series out there, such as Cyborg 009, Dororo, GeGeGe no Kitaro and Sabu And Ichi's Detective Tales. I haven't started watching any of them yet but I think I'll enjoy them when I do.

The music, the art style, the pure 80s detective seriousness mixed with the silly perversions. I really really dig it.

Initial D and Gundam SEED / Gundam SEED Destiny. Love most of the Macross series, Inuyasha and some others already mentioned as well.

Forgot Attack on Titan and Knights of Sedonia.

Let's make systems, wheels, and intro videos for all the great anime's lol

+1 Kenshin. Ninja Scroll. I'm horribly addicted to Naruto and feel as though people will make fun of me for it, but's it's just too good. Loved Inuyasha too which people DO make fun of me about. Still, I'm posting in case some of you haven't checked out Elfin Lied.

I'm sort of macabre anyway, but that show from start to finish is just the most intense anime I've ever seen.
