I would like request that you bring your hypermarquee issue to the hypermarquee thread please, since this thread is for EDS?

next thing I would ask you is what version of hypermarquee you maybe attempting to use? did you download revision F or just revision G .exe? if you have revision G, it just an update. you must place the revision G exe on top of revision F which is a full-package

yes sorry, that is the case for xp solution, .net framework 4.5 does not work with XP.

I have look into .net 4.5 xp install tweaks/reg edits but programs remain to not work.

your hsfilewatcher is updated to the most current revision which is 1.1,

the picture used in the instruction is 1.0, that entry line was removed in 1.1

Ok so from within EDS I can launch marquee for system names i.e mame, aae etc. But when I test via launching Hyperspin, I get hypermarquee window but no system graphics ? any thoughts

the events you would like that you are seeking should be 1,3,8,9 instead of 7 in the set. 8 is the event trigger for when list item change when hovering

Still not working for me, could someone post a working EDS, Hyper Marquee and HSFileWatcher for the following ? That way I'd be able to check my settings or start a fresh

Main HS Menu marquee's and system marquees.

Hi Sevenseal.

Please help me out if you can. I have the strangest problem with HSFilewatcher. Essentially I have everything running perfectly on an old laptop running Vista. HyperMarquee, EDS, HSFilewatcher all work perfect from Hyperspin.

However on the PC I have for my cab I can't get HSfilewatcher to show anything on Hypermarquee while scrolling the Main Menu wheel.

The PC for my cab is running Windows 8.1. I have checked and rechecked the settings for everything. I can't find any discrepancies. Everything is set up exactly the same as it is on the Vista laptop.

I've got HyperMarquee running correctly from EDS when I'm in the Mame Wheel in Hyperspin. The problem only happens when I am in the main menu wheel.

If I test from the EDS HyperspinEventGenerator it works great. I can input MAME and Main Menu for example, and it works as it should. I just can't get it to work while in Hyperspin.

The log for HSFilewatcher says..

12:03:23 AM | Third party application invalid path.

12:03:23 AM | Path:

12:03:23 AM | Closing.

The third party application is the fake LedBlinky.exe that's in EDS. And the path is correct just as it is on the laptop.

The other logs aren't showing anything remarkable.

sound like you dont have the apps set as admin or your folder security issue where your folder are set to read-only premission, to resolve; this right click with your mouse on main root folder and uncheck the box for read only access. just to mention even afterwards it will remains check after you check it again, it will remove read-only on majority you need it to be off of.

majority win 8.1 user I had to encourage to downgrade their hsfilewatcher to 1.0, which most people are on the current verison that is 1.1

After seeing the demo videos I completely changed my design on my cabinet I'm building in order to accommodate adding a monitor for the dynamic marquee. I'm stoked.

this all have to do uac of windows 7 + above and hows it lock security of applications/files/folders which prevents proper use of things.

I had to disable uac on my windows 8.1 setup for my cab...

yes I do see issue, on eds for hypermarquee_artwork add a 8 into event filters

event trigger 8 is for selection hover over trigger good for main menu

for your hsfilewatcher setting there is a space in your event trigger right before the 8, it shouldnt be there

in hypermarquee setting I dont see the path setup for your artwork in the setting

I tried your advice above and it still didn't fix the problem so I completely deleted EDS, HyperMarquee, and Handle, and then reinstalled everything.

I put in the same settings with the addition of event trigger 8 and it is working now much better.

However, while scrolling the system wheels in Hyperspin there are quite a few that don't show up on the marquee screen. For example MAME doesn't show up. What's still strange is that when I select mame and main menu while in HSEventIntegrator and click try for HyperMarquee then it works perfectly. Mame shows up on the marquee as it should.

Also. If I select "run as administrator" for some of these programs (including Handle) then they don't run as they are supposed to from the hyperspin main menu. I have to leave that unchecked and then they run.

hsfilewatcher it relays on the main menu to display the themes movies, all base on the video being played... sometime the theme could be the issue thats causes a break in the program. you might want to try changing out theme that dont work, and then check if it work afterwards. sometime change your hyperhq setting for hyperspin can help by giving more priority or setting for main menu for wait on video load and removing some elements to remove the heavy load

Hello,

I configured HSfilewatcher and it runs hypermarquee and works great, it runs a commercial for each sega system.

I couldn't figure out how to get this going when running ledblinky through HSfilewatcher.

Now, it keeps stacking each time I select a system.

A lot of snaps are gone due to the forum upgrade and I couldn't find a screen shot.
