sevenseal Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 sevenseal, just my luck. i am running ledblinky, hypersearch and hypermarquee together.. so.. hmm.. hypersearch doesn't seem to be in development anymore? i guess a workaround isn't possible? i seen many converted over to hyperxmlspin instead of hypersearch due to lack of development
spotUP Posted November 9, 2015 Posted November 9, 2015 mm hyperxmlspin ain't even close to as nice to use as hypersearch though, the look and feel i mean. but maybe i can turn off marquees for hypersearch?

Reefboi16 Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 So hopefully I am in the right area this time. I have a question about getting a couple application to work together tied with EDS application in question are HyperMarque, HyperSpeech, and led blinky. Am I in the right area?

Reefboi16 Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 Thanks I misread your post from yesterday. I apologize. I am a bit confused as to how to rename the exe files to trick HS into thinking its ledblinky because I already have it renamed in hyperspeech. So what would I do to EDS?
sevenseal Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 this is a very sloppy instruction due for updates: requirements:Install .Net framework 4.5.1 or higher 1.: Rename EDS_LaunchModule.exe application to Ledblinky.exe ( Only for HS users) 43068.attach 2.: Run HyperSpinEventIntegrator.exe (EDS GUI) to configure your apps that you would like to use. 43072.attach 2.1: Application : Specifying application .exe directory location 2.1.1: example path for Application LEDBlinky - C:\Hyperspin\LEDBlinky\LEDBlinky.exe HS FileWatcher - C:\Hyperspin\EDS\HSfileWatcher\HSFileWatcher.exe (not needed in HS 1.4) HyperMarquee - C:\Hyperspin\HyperMarquee\Hyper Marquee.exe 2.2: IPC Methods : 2.3: CBR : Close Before Rerun, avoid using with IPC Methods: Pipe or Pipe (cli) 2.4: Parameters :input are place in this order [event], [system], [game] or [ledblinky] or blank for no parameters used. 2.4.1: Front-End Start (1) Front-End Stop (2) Game Launch (3) Game Stop (4) Screensaver Start (5) Screensaver Stop (6) System Select (7) List Change (8) Game Select (9) Animation Stop (11) Load MAME Controller File (12) Reset Ultrastik 360 (13) 2.5: Pipe ID : This is the name title of the Pipe to send the message between EDS and the remote application. 2.6: Event Filter : The specified events list accepted parameters to launch the application. input table refer to 2.4.1 2.7: Close Filter : This feature allows closing the application using its Process ID (PID) for application that does not manage closing by themselves. input table refer to 2.4.1 2.8: System Filter : This feature allows restricting the remote application from being launched by all System (emulator) but the defined ones. the remaining setting are self-explain 3.: Configure and enable EDS within your favorite Front End. Within HyperHQ goto the "Tools" tabs, set the path for EventDispatchSystem root folder and enable LEDBlinky. 43073.attach
Reefboi16 Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 AHH i see. This is of great help I appreciate it.
danwelsh Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 I don't believe I have read this anywhere sevenseal but for new users HS does not have the real "ledblinky" program along with it when installed.....it's a separate program that needs to be downloaded......and I also have a question......how do I layer things.....what I want to have is a background(static) behind the wheel art and scrolling text along the top.....how would I achieve this in eds? I'm lovin my arcade
Reefboi16 Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 Yes it is a program but rocketlauncher does have a field for LEDBLINKY. So it is a supported app directly from HS.
sevenseal Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 Yes it is a program but rocketlauncher does have a field for LEDBLINKY. So it is a supported app directly from HS.in rocketlauncher, its just for Pause feature in it program, i think you misunderstand the use of Ledblinky from it, rocketlauncher doesnt give anymore than that

Antos Posted November 22, 2015 Author Posted November 22, 2015 EDS NEWS UPDATE - 2015/11/21 - EDS (Beta Release version 0.7.3) is now ready for download! 'Bug' fix / Improvement: This is an important fix. EDS should now perfectly manage instances (open & close). I.e. not leaving orpheline instances while browsing games. Please test. For advanced users, you will find a new feature letting you manage maximum waiting time within Named Pipes between 0 to 10 seconds. I have put the default to 9 secondes, it was 1 second before (not enough time when the CPU is busy). You will find this in EDS global settings. NB: Make sure to give EDS folder write access after running the setup. Special thank to Sevenseal for support and time. Please refer to the first post for setup and the installation guide. spotUP Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 0.7.3 was totally broken for me, i hope 0.7.4 works better!
Antos Posted December 1, 2015 Author Posted December 1, 2015 0.7.3 was totally broken for me, i hope 0.7.4 works better! We need some testers, you are welcome to help us on this. So far, comments on 0.7.4 are very good. I have good faith that this version will be a good candidate for a first release, or close to be. Let us know. Cheers. HyperMarquee & Event Dispatch System
spotUP Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 I tried a search for mairo in hypersearch now, it yields a lot of results and scrolling in this list for a while still makes hyper marquee crash, and i can see many instances of hypermarquee running in the process manager. Maybe you can work with the HyperSearch author now as he is back in biz? This was using the latest HyperSearch, but the old one behaves the same. I will post in the HyperSearch thread as well.

I saw your post in the HyperSearch thread. So just to confirm, you are using EDS's proxy LEDBlinky.exe? I remember this (EDS) project and always intended to integrate with it. Currently HyperSearch simply launches a new LEDBlinky process which is what HyperSpin does I believe? So I'm not sure why that would upset HyperMarquee. The EDS documentation makes reference to source code being available but I cannot find it. Does anyone know the EDS Pipe server detail? My understanding is that HyperSearch would then be able to pipe into the EDS process instead of launching a new process each time. My tools Steam wheel creator - Generate xml list from Steam profile with artwork and videos HyperSearch - Integrates search functionality with HyperSpin

spotUP Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 I am using EDS yes. So maybe I should have said EDS instead, but it's Hyper Marquee that crashes, sorry for the confusion. I hope we can get proper communication between EDS and HyperSearch! =)
