I've suddenly experienced a problem where for no reason when I boot up all the settings in mame have been reset to the default mame controls. This is a pain as I then have to launch a game and in the tab menu go through ALL the controls inc light guns and set everything back up again. Nightmare! Ive got no idea why this is happening or how to stop it. Been fine for months, No changes to my pc or anything. Pc is bare bones with only led blinky running in background. I'm using win7 64bit. Some of my mame games (.186) launch with black borders on the top, bottom and both sides. I have bezels enabled, so what I'm actually left with is the game in the correct aspect, but bounded by black bars all around,further bound by bezels on the sides. It would appear that the game could increase in size without losing correct aspect ratio simply by not having the black box all around. The result is I have a lot of unused space that could and is otherwise used by most games. What's intriguing about this is that not every game displays this. So far I've had good luck with HyperSpin. I'm using the current build, with fully updated RocketLauncher. MAME and various other emulators are running smoothly. Until Daphne. Daphne works beautifully if not launched through HyperSpin. But when launched through HyperSpin I'm greeted with "SAVE ME!" and followed up with "Frame file parse error". The log is attached, but doesn't make much sense to me. If it has an error with a particular frame file, it should have an issue with it outside of HyperSpin as well, but it doesn't. Hey all, i did post this earlier in the off topic section, thought i might get some more eyes on it posting here. Once again, mods please delete this if it falls foul of forum rules. Used to have HL2:S setup through RL using DXwin, to get it to run full screen, at some point this stopped working, so i started running it with gameloader all RH which works great except for the fact that every time i run it, it changes my Steam language to Japanese (in the registry). If anyone knows what might be causing this, id love to know because ive been struggling with this one for quite some time. Cheers!

Hi, I'm running Demul07a (180816 version) and notice that the disable auto rotation selection in the gui video tab is not working. I have a rotating monitor and am hoping to run all Naomi vertical shooters without auto rotation. Has anyone run into this issue? Any advice or help is appreciated.

This is something I just don't understand, my IDEA of a "No-Nag" screen is that 1 I don't have to sorry about that ".....If you are not legally the owner of this rom" screen, doesn't appear. That I have to click OK or wiggle the joystick left and right to get past it. 2 The "........the sound on this game is not accurate" please click OK or wiggle the joystick Frankly I want those screens to just GO AWAY and when I click on the game MAME boots right strait to the game. But everytime I download a NO NAG MAME I get cursed with those screens! What am I missing or not understanding here?

Followed @SIMPLYAUSTIN guide here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Lq6Zb3782Q I have a EU copy of Guardian Heroes and Three Dirty Dwarves, and when I load them up it looks like the bottom part of the screen is cut off. Is there some NTSC vs PAL setting or something I need to set so the resolution will be proper? Or do I need non-eu versions of these games? EDIT: I ended up swapping the area code in SSF Options to Europe and restarting it, last time I didn't restart it - that's why the bottom was getting cut off.

I'm trying to build up a Dreamcast library, and NullDC worked out perfectly with .cdi files, but .gdi files are JUNK on there! Here, after the startup animation, the program immediately closes with "NullDC has stopped working"! At the same time, I tried DEmul just for a LESS painful Dreamcast experience, but when I tried to insert ANY game (EDIT: After tweaking something, it reads .cdi files, but this problem still applies to .gdi files!), it just takes me to the BIOS menu as if I had not inserted any disc in there! CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP ME FIND A WAY TO GET A DREAMCAST EMULATOR WORKING ON HERE!??!?!?!?!

I can get Nulldc to work on its own. But whenever I try to launchagame through hyperspin it will start to load up and then I get this error : "nulldc does not support compressed formats please extract your image first or use 7z" All games are .cdi files....I'm pulling my hair out trying to figure this out! Any help would be greatly appreciated as the only thing I have going for me is my fantastic head of hair! Thanks Elvis

I have been building up my entire emulator library, and all was working out well so far, except for those emulators that seem to either only launch the application itself instead of the game you want to launch directly (Like my Neo Geo emulators), or does not have controller support at all (Like my ColecoVision emulator). Those emulators I toss to the side as those that I would launch occasionally, just not under Hyperspin for any or a combination of those two reasons. But I really don't want to do the same to the Sega CD, but yet in most cases, I may have to for the following reasons! Here's the thing. Hi guys. Apolgies if this is in the wrong place. I've come unstuck with an issue with my MAME emulator. Im running 0.157 through hyper spin. i want to know if it's possible to save the hi scores for certain games. Specifically I'm looking at the older golden tee games. For the majority of games I just auto save on exit, but for some reason this doesn't work for golden tee, it reboots the game from scratch when I launch. Ive read about the hiscore.dat, but can't find anything for this working on my version of MAME. Cheers guys!

Hello Hyperspin, Please help - I have managed to setup, launch and play Sega Model 2 Roms using Nebula Sega Model 2 v1.1.a emulator. - the issue I have is I am unable to exit the emulator back to hyperspin model 2 roms. I am using a wireless 360 controller and xpadder (all other emulators - retroarch, mame etc work fantastically). Any guidance/Help would be much a preciated. Slp4422071

Hello. I am trying to launch PlayStation 1 (007 - The World is Not Enough) game through RocketLauncher, but with no success. I am using retroarch as the emulator, Beetle HW as the core (the Simply Austin recommendation). What is confusing about this is that I am able to start a game using the RetroArch front end. I load teh core and then the game and it plays. Or I can drag the .cue file onto the interface and it runs. Either way, I have no problem running a PSX game within RetroArch. But, if I try launch a game through RocketLauncher, it keeps on trying to load it until it times out/quits trying. It doesn't throw up an error, it just fades out back to…

if you didn't know the PlayStation 1 emulator was updated in June (version 2.0.5). I know a lot of people use retroach for ps1 but if you're not one of them.. head over and update yours.

Sou meio novo no hyperspin, baixei um já configurado com jogos do mame,super nintendo e vários outros.Porém, ele veio sem o rocket launcher e sem o hyperlaunchHQ, quando instalei o taito type x eu tive de instalar o rocket launcher e assim configurar o mame de novo, baixei um mame novo porque o que eu tinha não funcionava no rocketlauncher, só que depois que configurei o mame o hyperspin abria somente alguns jogos, e quando eu inicio os jogos diretamente pelo emulador fala que está faltando uma rom ou CHD, eu preciso atualizar o jogo?

I have been trying to get pocketstation working and I seem to be hitting a wall. I think it should run in MAME, but I'm not 100% sure. I have the kernel.bin and the .bin romset as well as the .gme set. Does it need a different emulator or a specific version of MAME or MESS? Any ideas would be really appreciated!

I have one problem also I couldn't find a fix for it I'm using magic PC Engine to ran PC Engine CD-ROMS but i couldn't run it through the Hyper something about the virtual drive I'm using DT lite and configured the hyper to it but still have the same problem any help with that I can run normal Roms because they don't need virtual drive this is different couldn't fine any tutorial about this in google "how to run PCengine CD Rom in HyperSpin" I know how to run it without Hyper Spin if u ask When I run the game it return me back saying I have to tern virtual drive on even after I made the setup for it to DTAgent.exe

Hello all. I am having a problem that I am having a difficult time solving. After successfully setting up the PS2 shooters, I am now trying to setup PS1 shooters on my system with Aimtraks. I am using ePSXe 2.05 as an alternative emulator on my system for a few games and I am planning to use it for the shooters. Using Time Crisis for PSX as my test game, I was able to add the Nuvee Plugin for the "Input" plugin and I am using Pete's OpenGL2 Driver 2.9 for the "video" plugin. If I launch the game in ePSXe 2.05 outside of Rocketlauncher (RL), everything works fine...It goes to the calibration screen, I am able to get the calibration accurate, and I can play the shooter…
