Hi Guys,

I wish to access the Wiki, but it is saying I can only have an account created by the Administrators when I try to sign up. Any advice or assistance regarding this? Would really like to be able to access this whenever possible.

Cheers

It should be the same login & password as you use for this site.

Thanks,

Ron

Just tried it again Ron. For some reason it keeps saying I have the incorrect password, even though it is the same I use for the hyperspin account. Should I reset this or does it take a particular amount of time for this to update?

I poked around the FAQ and noticed many broken links. I am willing to share my list of links/info that i've compiled going from my initial stumbling upon hyperspin to information I've gathered up to week 4-6 of my build.

is there someone in particular that's assigning tasks/groups?

HI! I have been mainly the go to person for tasks and such.....let me know what you want to work on and put the content up there....ill have a look once the content has been placed. On another note, the wiki flow hasnt been quite finalized, therefore; having everyone just upload what they got. The only wikis that have been done were TTX, Daphne, and American Laser Games (to my knowledge)

I'm willing to participate in the getting started guide which can consist of the following

Hyperspin setup - Links to directory structure, understand what it is and isn't

Emulator Setup - I can share what i've learned during my short tenure, links to system setup (Gigapig's youtube's and such)

Cabinet Builds - Not necessarily related to HS but still an area of interest

Others - Controls, Buttons, Adapters, etc.

Might I suggest HS-related material on the wiki here and HL-related material on wiki.hyperlaunch.net. HL related would most likely be emu related guides as HL does all the launching and dealing with emus.

I'd love to help with this project, but I'm sort of confused by the templates for emulator setups... they seem to be broken down as such:

- Emulator Setup FAQ

- Emulator Integration into HyperSpin FAQ

- Launching & Testing FAQ

- Troubleshooting Q&A FAQ

For the most part, these should be relatively straight-forward:

- Install/Unzip the emulator

- Point HyperLaunchHQ Global to the emulator's EXE

- Toss your ROMs somewhere

- Point HyperLaunchHQ System-specific tab to that directory

I mean, I could write up documentation on this process, but all 4 points could probably be condensed to one page, and this is true for just about every emulator.

Thanks for the suggestions! I agree that some emulators you can combine those topics together, however; items such as TTX need to be broken up like that so you dont have a really long wiki where people would have a hard time finding information. I admit that the HyperWiki flow will definitely need to be revamped. As an example that DJVJ pointed out, prolly be better that HyperLaunch will have its own set of wikis on its site there than here. (In other words, no need to have HyperLaunch wikis on both sites). Lets see what ya got as after Im done with my current project, will be hitting this pretty hard to come up with a standard template, etc so everyone can contribute.

So with that said, Im thinking that the HyperSpin wikis should probably focus on setting up the emus initially, inital integration with HyperSpin, artwork and themes, various 3rd party tools out there, HyperPin, etc etc. If you want an example of the wikis Ron Fancella or I have completed, check out the Taito Type X, American Laser Games, and LaserDisc under Arcade.

Sjignacz, are you sure HS wiki should contain emu setup? The way I see it, HL is way more intertwined with the emus than HS is. Plus HL is the one that has modules for each emu, not HS.

I also already added all the pages for all the supported emus on the HL wiki.
