zargon33
HI all, I am not sure what section of the site this kind of topic should go but this subforum seemed appropriate. I am looking to build a new PC in a Micro ATX case to install Hyperspin into, and be able to play at least up to PS2 era emulation. I am not super familiar with what processor and video card / memory might be needed regarding this as far as specs go, and am looking for some recommendations. Of course I'd love to build to the latest and greatest specs, but hoping to limit the build to specs that would be acceptable to emulate all the systems I am hoping to run. Things I already have are: a Micro ATX case, a high powered quiet 700W power supply, all my ROMS (which covers everything up to PS2 (chronologically) more or less), two Xbox 360 wireless controllers and a MS wireless usb receiver for the controllers. Any suggestions would be appreciated, and thanks.
Metalzoic
I use a mini /micro mother board in a low, blocky mastercooler case. I don't remember exactly what I have, but it can run modern PC games at max settings at high frame rates. I didn't ask here though. I just looked up "best gaming PC builds 2015" and read a handful of articles from sites like Toms Hardware and PC gamer etc... I went with their best gaming budget builds which range between 400 to 600. Mine was about 600 + the OS. Mine is micro motherboard. 8 gigs of the best ripsaw (or riptooth) ram? The i3 CPU they said was best to go with, AMD R9 280 card... I don't even remember what else goes into a computer? Ah, low mini case so it can't tip over in the cab. Windows 7 (now Win 10 which seems to run even better)

I went overboard on mine (in my signature) but the suggestion above is pretty good.
XC-3730C
Perhaps an Alienware Alpha may be a good alternative? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk
JoyStickKilla
Here is an easy way to go about it. Take how much money you are willing to get.... And get the best components that keep you under it.
jcrowley30
What would be your budget? i think that would help with suggestions. For some people, not a lot is $300, $500 or $700.
