imdavid555 Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 Saw this article on Kotaku about a 3D Nes emulator. looks pretty cool, but buggy. It is currently in Beta. http://kotaku.com/nes-emulator-transforms-classic-games-into-awesome-3d-s-1763778770
gigapig Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 Thanks, those screen shots look funky on my phone, I'll shall check it out properly later.
JoyStickKilla Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 Watched a video, wouldn't use it but pretty cool work the guy has done
imdavid555 Posted March 9, 2016 Author Posted March 9, 2016 This question must be asked - WHY? I think it looks cool and would give me another incentive to replay NES games that I have beaten so many times. This won't appeal to everyone of course, but I find it pretty amazing how it turns 2D into 3D
Tribe Fan Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 Lol, this is pretty cool! I'd love to see it get a little more polish.
Guest Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 This is next on my list to get setup. Nice to see new emulators popping up Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
gigapig Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 Can we call it an emulator if it's running in a browser?
SkyHighGam3r Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 I absolutely love it and I really hope it gets put in a stand-alone version once it moves further along. If it ever reaches the point it works well enough I will create a 2nd NES wheel that just points to the same roms/art.Would be even better if this eventually leaked over into a Sega Genesis emulator too.
imdavid555 Posted March 9, 2016 Author Posted March 9, 2016 Can we call it an emulator if it's running in a browser? If it is using nes roms (not really sure if it is), then yes. I would consider it an emulator. Hopefully they make an offline version...
