Nintendo Power Main Menu and System Theme

I like the thought, it could work for some. I found a theme with a yellow background somewhere. I used covers as artwork per volume to show on top of the yellow background to show what volume I'm looking at. Urs could work for some! I think I've got this completed however id like a wheel set rather than use the covers as the wheel art. Is their wheel art available?

Btw converting to cbr worked via winrare!

FYI I created a wheel using kustoms self made app. Thanks for the help u all.

I've been looking on the FTP but couldn't find a Tribe Fan folder :-(

Can anyone point me to the theme? Thanks!

Take a look in my folder on the ftp.

Thanks,

Hi,

I'm interested in this set too. I found the video commercial on youtube, and with the materials on the FTP, it's quite ready to go. It's just difficult to find all the cbr,cbz files. Is there a torrent somewhere? I don't know if this is legal or not to download those things (old magasines)? It's very old, so perhaps is it possible to upload it at pleasuredome like old roms? (an Hyperspin Ready set for example)

And writing about magazines... Chris Upchurch did one for Retro Gamer Magazine which looks pretty neat... Any idea on where to download that? Maybe that could be adapted for other magazines as well.

I just made wheel images for the first 11 Retro Gamer Magazines and a little database to go with it. You can find it on the ftp in "Upload Here/annomatik/IP Retro Gamer" .

Just in case someone should be feeling the desire to make a theme for that ;-)

If someone wants to make a theme for this, you can pretty much find most of what he used to make the theme through simple Google searches.

Doesn't look bad for a first step :-) I've just included a background image for now, it's the mentioned iOS bookshelf image I believe. HyperHQ Wheel Settings are set to Style=horizontal and Position=right. How did he get the highlighted image to the right side? And why are his magazines on one line / one shelf?

And here with some additional eye-candy. What do you think?

I still think, putting the highlighted magazine on the right side, like Chris did, would look better. Help?

I think the 3 that you normally see in his are a part of the shelf image in the background and he just uses the magazine image as a cart image in his theme as it only shows up when he's sitting on a particular issue.

You'll also want to include the OLD! part in the top left corner and the two characters on the right.

You will want to use CDisplayEX with my HyperLaunch module: http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/showthread.php?34327-CDisplayEX-Module&highlight=CDisplayEX

Ah thanks, zerojay. I've looked at the video again, he apparently made the magazines part of the background and uses kind of a cart image for the magazines, like you wrote. I think, my variant is nicer :-)

Regarding the two characters... I don't know, for my taste, they are a bit too much. I think, I'll do a "system" theme with the old-part and the two characters and leave the "Default" theme pretty much like in the screenshot. That way, everyone can select the variation he/she likes best.

I'll have a look at the CDisplayEX module, it does support PDF?

Nice :-) Just used it standalone, works fine with the Retro Gamer PDFs and even supports dual-page mode.

Here's the new version of the theme, I think it looks even better with the old and the two characters now. What do you think?

I'm still working on the wheel-images, currently have done 75 of 139. Database is done. When I'm done with the wheels, I'll upload them to the FTP and post a short note in this thread.

It's done!

I finished the 139 wheel images for the Retro Gamer Magazine issues until today. The whole package, including used graphics for the themes, the Database, Main Menu Wheel, the Wheel Images and the Themes themselves can be found on the FTP at

Upload Here/annomatik/IP Retro Gamer

Here's a (incomplete) selection of the wheel images:
