Thanks for the feedback guys. Everything you need to get started is up in my FTP folder. I'm using CDisplay as the emulator and Nintendo Power issues saved in CBR format (google is your friend) as the roms. If you have the mags saved in pdf format, I'm sure writing a script for adobe reader would be a simple matter. As for the wheel art, you can find all the cover art here:

http://nintendo.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Nintendo_Power_Covers

For those who are more fluent in AHK than me, I know I suck. I'm sure there's plenty wrong with the module (it's pretty much completely ripped from another one). Please do pick it apart.

Only issues 1-51 are up as of now. I'll get around to adding more at some point.

Enjoy guys!

looks great tribe only is there a way to zoom out so you can see the whole thing

relic: When the mag loads, hit "C" and a configuration windows opens with a bunch of options for controlling the way a page is displayed. It looks cooler with two pages set to fit the screen, but the text can be hard to read. CDisplay is actually very Hyperspin friendly right out of the box. CBR's automatically load in fullscreen and escape exits the entire app.

(Go Tribe!)

Yes sir!!

Dang... I hope not... I just downloaded and scanned the entire directory with no positive detections. Anyone else having problems with this?

Heya Tribe Fan... I was going to upload a folder of Wheels (Covers) to match your set to your folder but it doesn't seem to be there anymore. It's in my folder for now. If you re-upload your package, you can move the wheels over to keep it together. (I uploaded up to Volume 91 since that's how many issues I have)

Thanks for the heads up!! My ftp folder got deleted somehow. :(

I just put everything back up and moved the wheel art over. Thanks for doing the legwork!

Wouldn't it be cool to have a whole "printed materials" wheel with all the different comic books (e.g., the NES Comic System) and mags that have been released over the years? Although this all might be better integrated into HyperPause - I dunno.

Yeah, i was thinking the same thing in regards to HyperPause. So, in a perfect world, we extract each article by game, and load it up that way, so entering into HyperPause just shows you the relevant articles, not the entire monthly magazine edition.

Tribe,

Looks like it's going to take a while to get the .cbr files. :(

Do you have a Main Menu Wheel image yet??

Thanks,

Ron

What module are you using for cdisplay?

Zero jay, did u just add genres before the games or can you have the pre wheel, then games, the select genres?

I currently have mine setup like this.

In HyperHQ I have a Nintendo Power wheel.

My HyperHQ screen:

Execution is set to Normal.

So, this means it doesn't even use HyperLaunch and therefore there is no need for a module.

Hope this helps some.

Thanks,

Ron

I've got car and cbz. Cbr works by itself but if I put comma in the extension so it looks like this "cbr, cbz" I get an error when cdisplay launches saying that there is no image file. So basically I can run all cbr if I don't have extension cbz in there but I have like 10 of them. When I include cbz as an extension none open. Do u know how to run both cbr and cbz? They run fine outside of huperspin and my hyper hq looks the same as urs

Going to try this:http://www.ehow.com/how_7854661_make-cbr-file.html

Hi,

The easiest thing would be to just rename all the cbz files to cbr. The difference between them is cbr files are compressed as rar and cbz files use zip. You can change the extension from cbz to rar and open the file up in WinRAR or 7z. It will show all the scanned images. ;) Just rename the extensions to all be cbr and you should be good.

Thanks,

Ron

Anyone has a nice wheel theme?

The original theme for this is in Tribe Fan on the FTP. But I'll get you the files since you don't have ftp access.

Thanks,

Ron
