You instruct to do this: Now we need to set the PathToWHDFolder. Make sure Commodore Amiga is selected on the left. Click on Modules on the top. Select WinUAE.ahk and click the Edit System Speciffic Modules Settings button: But when i press the "Speciffic Modules Settings button" I get this message: The last line, means: there si an invalid character in the code. at line 863 position 23. I did a few things differently from your guide. There was no WINUAE module, with the hyperlaunch i downloaded from hyperspins webpage. So i had to download the module from the git repository. It had the: WinUAE.ahk and WinUAE.isd and the different ini files inside of the WINUAE folder. And i downloaded Winuae version: 2700 instead of the version you suggested. Does any of this matter? I really hope you have an idea what im doing wrong here. It seems like there is a problem with an xml file somewhere.. but i dont understand how to fix this. Thanks a million. Greetings from me!

Actually i just replaced the xml file from here: F:\hyper\frontend\Databases\Commodore Amiga\Commodore Amiga.xml With the Commodore Amiga xml from this site: http://hyperlist.hyperspin-fe.com/ The euthor is: djvj Was this the wrong thing to do? But it works now. But now another problem appeared. I tried to enter the path for my WHD folder, and it keeps telling me that i need to enter a relative path, instead of an absolute. But i can only browse to the folder, not enter it manually. It looks like this: But, i did the rest of the tutorial, and i can see all the available games. When i launch them, none of them work. It gets launched through whdload but it just gives me random errors. Telling me roms are missing, and etc. If i hit F12 i return to WINUAE, and i can see that WINUAE have loaded without the "amigahost" settings i had done previous. What do you make out of all of this? I am "this" close to be home free... Again, thanks for your time!

What Brolly is refering to is your version of HyperLaunchHQ (the program). It would be best if you make sure all your files are up to date with the most current. There are two ways to do this: 1). Install GIT and TourtousGIT to make a "one click update" (almost one click). 2). Grab the zip file from the repository and update (one time) all your HyperLaunch files and modules. To do #1, read this guide: https://sites.google.com/site/hyperlaunch2/home/downloads To do #2: Go to the GIT repository site: https://code.google.com/p/hyperlaunch-3/ Click on Source in the top bar. Click on Browse right below that. Click on the Download zip link. Once downloaded, extract the contents of the Hyperlaunch-3-??????? folder inside the archive over your HyperLaunch directory. I purchased the Amiga Forever disk and copied the necessary roms and kickstarts into the directories specified in this guide. I have also copied the WHD folder from winuaeloader and placed this into my winUAE folder. The problem is that launching any game (either through HD or Winuae results in a black screen (often with flickering white bars)? Has anyone else experienced this? I had a couple of tips/suggestions you may want to include. 1) Remapping controls in WinUAE isn't necessarily intuitive. It took me a while to realize that you need to double-click on the key assignment listed under the function, i.e. "Joy 1 Left", to start the remap process. 2) Should the Configurations path be set to Configurations\Host\? It doesn't make a difference in the command line call, I know, but it does allow you to select the amigahost.uae config from the WinUAE UI. 3) This is probably only of interest to a handful of weirdos like me who are using standard resolution arcade monitors in their cabs w/ an ArcadeVGA, but I found I had to use very specific Display settings to get WinUAE to work properly. Yea, I wish there were an eaiser way to config the controls. But, it's do-able through the emu. I will put your comments in the original guide and thank you for the input! The file must go in the host directory. That's where the WinUAE module looks for it. I actually put a symbolic link in my Host directory that points to the config in the Host. Here is an example of a run line: Run - Running: H:\HyperSpin\Emulators\WinUAE\winuae.exe -f "H:\HyperSpin\Emulators\WinUAE\Configurations\host\amigahost.uae" -s quickstart=a1200,1 -s use_gui=no -s gfx_fullscreen_amiga=false -s Thanks again for the input! I do have the WHDLoad.key and it works fine. But when I goto load some of the AGA games such as Theme Park and Ben a Steel Sky I get a Devs Kickstart error.... either 300058 or 4000058 or something like that. I been on the google badwagan for some time and there does seem to be solves for this.... but these guys are talking well over my head and I was a IBM386 person not a Amiga1200 person back in the day.... Do you know if there is a solution for this??

Austin, Yes, WHDLoad uses three important sets of files to launch the game: Boot and OS roms (lives in ...\WinUAE\rom) Kickstarts (lives in ...\WinUAE\WHD\Devs\Kickstarts) WHDLoad key file (lives in ...\WinUAE\WHD\S) Looks like you are getting a Kickstart error. I have 12 in my directory. WHDLoad uses these files to boot games into different environments. If you are missing some, there will be some games that will not boot. So you should have at least 6 sets of them (they come in pairs). If you google around for "WinUAE Kickstart Roms" you will find them. Either you are missing some or they are bad. Thanks, Ron
