Look at the price difference between PC and "next gen"!

Glad i picked PC this time round!

Agree, the argument that consoles are cheaper breaks down when you've bought 10 console games. You could have bought a decent PC for the price of a console and 10 games.

And then whats the cost of owning both next gen consoles?

I hope the game plays more like the intro then just a fps with future naziskin slapped on it.

Console games definitively cost too much. In 16bit era at last you were paying for the cartridges, now you pay (almost) the same price for tv commercials and marketing.

Marketing is important but always remember that one of the greatest IP ever, doom, was actually an "indie" production and was sold only trought mail orders.

I really love doom... let's hope it won't be 6 hour single player campaign and all online play... I hate online FPS -.-

And hear my word: next gen consoles may cause another videogame's market crash. Underpowered pc hardwares, high launch prices and no innovation in terms of gameplay. Name a brand new game type born on xbox 360/ps3. You can't, right? These consoles brought proper FPS and games like skyrim but pcs were already capable of that. Please dont' talk about eye candy or kinect, actually they don't have killer apps. Super mario bros, metroid, F-zero, MGS, GT, GTA3 were "fresh" and could not run on older hardware (PCs could compete with ps2 but many games were programmed really BAD, take resident evil 4's broken AI as example. Now "bad" console ports means low resolution and console's textures). If (when) people will get bored of online FPS the market will crash badly.

Some Wii and Wii U games DOES have really innovative gameplay (quality may vary) but they are not make to please modern "gamers" mainstream market.

Gotta agree with dark. I've pretty much fallen back to any gaming being on a pc, wether emulation or not. What killed me was when I just wanted to play a quick game to waste some time and I had to sit through cut scene after cut scene in games. Back in the day you could be playing ninja gaiden in 10 sec flat.
