I do notice on 4K displays the splash screen when loading the arcade64 logo is small and doesn't fill the splash window. Also the statusbar at the bottom text is mico small.

haven't tested that yet. Don't see why it wouldn't. Might need to update a few games thou and bioses.

That's what I thought but when I ran it there seemed to be stuff connected to all of the other systems that were connected solely with MESS.

I still use mess for a few systems but it predates the merger. I was wondering if if was now time to merge.

Lol. The exe is a lot smaller than the main version and when you try to run something other than Mame it throws up a million error boxes.

Just mame, although I've not had much luck with it and still use 0.168 for Amstrad CPC.

yes there is. Look in the forums under 3rd party applications and support topics for mame build with mess if you want just mess there is just do a search for mess nonag

Anyone having an issue with not seeing text on any in-game menus? For example, if I hit TAB, I know messages are appearing, but it is just a white background box- the text may be white as well which is why I can't see it but don't see options to change the message background color if it is not an error.

I would love that. I use Mess for quite a few systems as it's easy to configure controls and glsl is the same as my mame set up. My mess set up is ageing and would love an upto date version.

I know it is a busy time of year but wondered if you had looked at creating the mess only version of arcade mame ? I'm currently using the version before they merged so would be very interested.

Have you tried using mame for your old mess system? I tried it with Intellivision and Celeco recently and it was fine.

I haven't simply because I was hoping for a no nag version. Does the standard version not ask for OK?

MESS was added to MAME project from 0.161 version. So MAME now includes MESS and can emulate all MESS Systems. If need a nonag version you can download it in insertmorecoins.es

 

Download MAME, not ArcadeMAME.
