I love Synthwave/80's Retro concepts and designs.

Stay Tuned.

I'm sold! Wish you all the best with your projects Bungles...I'm along for the ride! ;)

EDIT

If I recall the Mistral font works quite well, when doing text for these "retro wave" images

I just noticed your signature @Honosuseri Now I need to listen to Lateralus! And also freshen up on my Fibonacci sequencing..

Kudos for spotting it! Funnily enough I am listening to Lateralus, I'm playing it! Have my Les Paul Guitar across my knee.

I do enjoy the new retro wave stuff too. I'm off now though to dream of Neo-Tokyo ;)

Cool! I would have put the mf logo instead of the game month release, and made them all like the Pacman one (original artwork)

other than that, nice work.

If someone wants to locate some original media to use I wouldn't mind doing a fair few for games released chronologically.

I am not that proficient in searching for original Arcade media and it would soak up a lot of time I could be spending on creating said themes/designs.

Happy to change up the dates for MF Logo's but as I wanted it to show the dates starting from 1980 to today(ish) so it seems like you are running through time..  I can perhaps do both.

If you could find the time Bungles...would you possibly look into doing an Amiga theme for us?

I've put a lot of time into it lately for Android. Thatman is on board ready to do a guide when Amiberry drops for Android, he's playing around with the setup I've done and is really getting into it.

I've kept telling myself I need (not want...NEED) a Psygnosis theme with their Owl but I just never get around to doing it. I have a feeling you more experienced content creators would do a better job of it than me anyway ;)

Well, you can symply extract game artworks from themes.. or why not use arcade cabinet models. I made a few different designs to see if it interests someone, and since your front end is inspired by retro style, i tried to do something that match. So make sure you wear your 80s sunglasses if you see bright colors popping up on your screen    In any case, it's just a suggestion, of course you create according to your personal preferences. Other than that, good luck with your project :good:

^^ THAT.IS.GORGEOUS!

I always wanted to have the complete set of cabinets (like the Pac-Man above), but the only available set with ALL of them is from Progetto-snaps's site, but they all have a black background instead of transparent. I do not know who in his/her right mind stored those with background. Such a waste.

Thanks for the designs @Flashback It has given me much to think about. And good idea to look inside themes for material as my wheel art I have framed and did not keep the originals.
(Can always be re-obtained I guess from the FTP)

The designs however were more for use in an intro video rather than "in-theme" material.

I have to say though you are all so amazing, and thank you for jumping in and providing more and more inspiration.

The next couple of weeks I will be busy with some real life matters (Father just had a fall and broke a Femur Bone and will need some help getting around for the next 6-12 weeks at least)

But I will have some time to myself still which I will be using to tinker with these new concepts.

As for an Amiga theme @Honosuseri I will see what I can do.

Is there something hindering you from using the current one(s) out there? Or are you just looking for a specific design?
(Trust me I am not experienced in the least compared to others with the content creator tag.., just dedicated... :) )

That would be amaze balls Bungles!

I do have one which is actually quite nice in red with Zool the Ninja, I've applied some tweaks to get it "Android compatible" (still needs work). I've just always wanted a Psygnosis theme, I think the Owl would make for a better logo. I did attach a photo so you could see the font and it's colouring leaned towards the New Retro Wave designs...plus the system is from the late 80's as well.

Just thought it might peak your interest. There have been some delays with the Amiberry emulator and the Android port...so I could put some time into it myself. Although I'm already loving the stuff you've put on here, just makes me even more curious to see what you'd come up with.

Thanks for entertaining the request :)

P.S I wish your Dad a speedy recovery

Thanks for the kind words.

I went personally from Atari 2600 -> Commodore Amiga 2000 -> Sega Mega Drive (Genesis) -> 486 DX50Mhz PC and then stuck with computers only for the last 25+ years..

I think I also had one of those Amstrad CPC 464 Machines that run of a cassette tape briefly. (But my memory is not as sharp as it used to be...)

All my friends had all the other consoles so I was exposed to them as well, but never owned any.

No worries! Just being honest :)

I had a Lynx but I'm not really an "Atari guy". I did have the Amstrad CPC & GX4000, A LOT of Sega stuff (my cousins were Nintendo boys), I had the Amiga 500 and then on to PC's. I've had Playstations and X-Boxes along the way as well. Much of what I emulate I have owned, although I do like seeing the stuff we never got to see..or "Jap crap" as my friend's affectionately call it.

Oh I forgot about handhelds, I did get my bro's Handed Down Lynx and B&W Gameboy.

Loved the lynx for the fact you could play it from both directions. And also I loved my brothers Sega Game Gear as it had the TV adapter.

Was just listening to some New Retro Wave while doing some work, and thought about this neon retro unified happy bungles project, and how cool it would be if the system main videos, instead of being a collage of games like it is used to be, were the system ads of the era.

Example of SNES:

It's a very cool idea! I actually do this already for some systems. Commodore C64, Amiga and CD32.

I have a collection of TV ads stored away somewhere. If Bungles is interested, I'll look for them and make them available to him :)

Would be more than happy to use them, but I guess its always down to the individual tastes.

Maybe we can put them in a location for people to download them if they want to use them and when I get something substantial setup I can reference where to find them?

Still not sure if videos are better here or over @ emumovies.com

Maybe @Circo can let us know where we should upload them?

They might be already there Bungles...I've not looked. I've just sourced stuff over the years I like the look of.

Currently I've edited this crudely for my intro video to Hyperspin....works quite well :)

Love Daft Punk and that clip. Also Olivia Wilde is sexy. :D

I use this one as a Long Intro at the moment. Its unfortunate you can hear where they have tried to slice the two audio tracks together at the start.

Other than that I love it.
