It's been way too long

So, years ago I started building my own arcade/hyperspin but I got really sick. I have end stage renal and I've been on dialysis for 3 years. I also have congestive heart failure, anemia, and a rare condition called CIDP. I actually started feeling decent enough to drag this unfinished arcade out of storage (well, I mean got friends to drag it out for me) and I am looking at everything going all "uh wut" haha. I started again a few years back (my other forum post) but that is when I got CIDP and was wheelchair bound... Until I started a treatment named IVIG.

I'm sure i will get into the swing of things again but right now everything is just so damn confusing. Just wanted to say hi again and it's been way too long since I've touched this computer so any great tips/good tutorials would be awesome.

Sounds like a rough time....glad your getting back at it. The VERY best place to start is with the Official video tutorials playlist in my signature.

Shout if you get problems....I will go find a link to a recent thread with some handy tips.

I will just say this little gaming project can become a rabbit hole. I suggest aim for a small base setup and then add a system at a time after that when you have enjoyed some games! Sometimes I wish I could take my own advice

awesome. thank you. I will def. check everything out again. If I remember correctly it was pretty easy, just super time consuming. I am starting over. I had stuff set up on a disk that died. The emumovies service cost money right? I am trying to remember all what i did.

EmuMovies and Hyperspin platinum (HyperSync access) cost money yes. Cheapest route for both is HS first then there’s a 25% discount here for EM.

if you got the lifetime EM sub then that should still be valid over there

HyperSync is a valid service but not essential

Ok, I've done everything word for word and it works great except for one problem, when I am in hyperspin it shows all of the games. Even for the roms I don't have. I did a mame audit in rocket launcher and it shows one game in green (final fight) but when i go in hyperspin it shows every game in the mame section. How do I fix it so that it only shows the games I own?

Nevermind. I found the option. It just wasn't working cause I forgot to add the zip, 7zip parameters. woops.

I am pretty much done. I wanna thank whoever did those in depth tutorial vids if he still comes to the forums. They were amazing.

After all these years it is finally finished! The cabinet needs it's final touches but i'd say it is 85% done!
