relic
hey frost so awesome work on getting this far but i have a few requests first request can we make it that if content you already have and downloaded that it wont repeat its download for grabbing it same for videos - unless theres updates. 2nd can we have an option for each artwork sets or video sets to have there own folders or transfer to the roots instead unless you choose a diffrent location but then makes up the same folder style for it anyway. 3rd only to grab content by the database you have only or by its proper hyperlisting 4th support fade screens and extra other content and also have an option for 16.9 ratio content or 4.3 ratio content - 5th set a time limit when you want hyperbase live to sync and stop - 6th to download content regardless if set to default also have an option to select it all at once even if not set to default set maybe have it like so alt 1 alt 2 alt 3 or something like that - 7th too show screen shots of what content is in hyperbase live and maybe a way to preview videos to check the quality out. 8th for people that have mp4 problems maybe have an option to choose which format you want to download videos in flv or mp4 and an option to download mp3s for game themes mostly mame if anything or other as well. 9th have an option to grab all xmls or a single 1 by the hyperlisting at once or if updated have an option to choose to have it turned on to grab the updated xml databases.\ and final 10th - have an option to rename systems auto so they match regardless make it rename everything at once or have a pop up saying your system isnt named by the hyperlisting would you like us to rename it to the proper list system name yes or no and then it will do it for you or you can choose not to. and most final request for now 11 - have an option too turn on show only hyperlist supported systems or unsupported systems as well forgot 1 more thing i beg you to support global themes for this as well -
SamVSsami
Hi, Really love what you guys are doing for the community!! HyperSync was a welcome addition and really helped me in getting things up and running quickly. Still I had some issues in the past and like to know if this is addressed in Hyperbase. In MAME for example I use some themes that I made myself and prefer using. In the past I had a problem that if there was a newer version of the theme it got overwritten with the newer one from HyperSync. That's why I stopped syncing directly to the HS media folders and used a separate folder instead. It takes extra effort (frustrating) to get the synced themes from the syncfolder and put them in de HS media folder. I would like to know if it's now possible to directly sync the HS folder with only new themes/art, without updating the existing themes. I don’t know if I’m very clear in my explanation, but I hope you understand my thoughts. The same applies for example to the Kustom wheels I have. Like to hear from you and again thanks to all for all the great work!!!!
zerojay
You were always able to disable syncing of themes for specific games in HyperSync. You knew that, right?
SamVSsami
But if I just look af Mame I've got about 60 plus games I have manually to exclude?! if I'm wrong please tell me. Thanks in advance! Verzonden vanaf mijn iPad met behulp van Tapatalk

But what you are saying is have the option to download more than one theme, then set only one of them to active. All while retaining the original files. Right? 3) Sync relies on the HL database. 4) This would be considered an additional media type, and is fully supported in our system. 5) On release we are allowing you to pause all sync requests. I am sure we can add "quiet hours" to this process as well. Again, may hit in M2 6) I am not clear on this. You mean have a one time download option? 7) This is already in the design. I will post screenshots in about a week or so. 8) Done. 9) This is currently a slotted feature. It will appear as a checkbox in settings to keep all databases up to date. 10) We can have a screen that shows you "unlinked" systems. But I am unsure what you would like to do with them at that point 11) Global themes may be an interesting add. However, completely possible. I would be interested to see what you think a proper workflow for this is. Like, how would you like the data to be displayed to you as a user? Click a theme, hit apply and it rolls through all systems and applies the new settings? What happens when I get to a system that is not supported by a global theme? Thanks again for the feedback! But what you are saying is have the option to download more than one theme, then set only one of them to active. All while retaining the original files. Right? what i meant to say as it downloads content it will all stay in the folders where the content belong rather then moving all over the place unless you set another location for it but then still makes the same folder layout on a diffrent hardrive. for ? 6 - 6) I am not clear on this. You mean have a one time download option? - yes that too but have an option to choose packages all at once rather then manually setting the ones you want and maybe as extra include it as custom for you to choose the ones you want so say you want just the 2D content and you would have an icon to click on 2d and it will grab a 2d package for you only and same for 3D which would grab 3D content only or as extra custom which would grab both. for ? 10 - 10) We can have a screen that shows you "unlinked" systems. But I am unsure what you would like to do with them at that point - i meant if you have systems which dont match the hyperlisting names it would give you a note and tell you that its not and would say in pop up box would you like your system renamed to match and you could click yes or no which would make all teh content for that system match up and link kind of like what hypersync did when you click on a system and it linked it with the right name. for ? 11 - 11) Global themes may be an interesting add. However, completely possible. I would be interested to see what you think a proper workflow for this is. Like, how would you like the data to be displayed to you as a user? Click a theme, hit apply and it rolls through all systems and applies the new settings? What happens when I get to a system that is not supported by a global theme? - what you could do is just leave systems out which are unsupported for global and maybe add a default background option for it with other default content -also i was just thinking another handy feature for hyperbase live would be to have auto screen adjustment option for if a computer screen decides to go cuckoo it would fix the screen postion up so it fits any screen rather then not show the whole thing especially for the crtv fans out there-
BiLbOBaggins
Will there by some type of CRC check in place to overwrite "unofficial" artwork and media?
fr0stbyt3
Will there by some type of CRC check in place to overwrite "unofficial" artwork and media? Yes, but you can disable media download per game as in previous versions.
relic
i was thinking a great feature would be basically you have an option to pick your roms folder and then each time you add a game in it it would make a blank xml and add only the games you have and adds the artwork for them at sametime but eachtime you add a game in it will update auto and go in the xml. especially for cd type systems this feature would be useful. Agrajag
Very useful indeed, but you would need to make sure the roms are named exactly right so that they match the standard database & artwork names.
Fromlostdays
Could this not be used to hold unofficial stuff as well? Say I make a wheel set for SNES, could I up it somehow so that people could browse through the many different snes wheel versions and pick the one they like? Sorry if the question is puerile. I used Hypersync, and then test sets off the FTP by downloading one and opening it. Now that I'm on it, can filezilla be set to view thumbnails? haha. This is a great idea and I love how things are moving forward. Although im a little hesitant about many dif sites for getting this to run... but hey, thats way above my head The reason I like "aletterfromthelostdays" post was the fact that Im a brit and I would like if possible to have the option of downloading the PAL version of things. Its hard enough getting people t remember what a Megadrive is, but when they see a Genesis, they be like....huh?? Also they way if works with sync is that I maybe have a few options.. not many but at least they ar an option. Problem is that they are labeled in what may as well be Chinese as they have no relevance as to what style they are until I download and see. Sure, they have a preview, but I have to test it with the rest of the system them just to see if it doesnt stand out too much in the wrong way. I like the idea of having a set go with a set... such as The Unified Megatheme... it has matching Fades, have artwork which not only matches but is scaled to the setup. Please dont think this is me having a moan, I love what you guys have done and what Im sure your about to do. Im just adding a point of view and ideas. MANY THANKS GUYS!!!! jhabers
Development is going great! We are a little behind schedule as we decided to tackle migrating HyperList into HyperBase Live as well. The interface has a new look from what was initially posted here. We should be releasing some screen shots shortly. We are real excited about this project and we are neck deep in development. Once we are ready for beta testing we will open it up for you all to try out. Functionality for the "Database / List" portion of the site (old HyperList) with be basic at first. We will add in complete functionality shortly after release. Thanks Jon

dougan78
It will be a god send if it does sync the hl media for hyperpause. I am tired of deleting manuals folders, redownloading, and using files to folders to put them back when there are updates at emumovies. Not the end of the world I know. Thanks for your hard work.
