arodarcade
I just recently built a new computer for my arcade. I grabbed the most recent copy of windows version 2004. Are there any known workarounds for hyperspin on this version of windows?
dark13
Yeah, you need just sxs.dll from a pre 2004 windows inside HS main folder Anyway for an arcade cab probably it wopuld be better to use windows LTSC 😛

sig599
This was listed as a "fix" however I also posted a thread about this. I updated to 2004 once I saw this thread, copied and pasted the sxs.dll from the Windows Old folder, nothing. Rolled back to 1909 a second time. No idea why this tends to cure some machines and not others.
mxxxmatt
Possibly Windows blocking the file? After downloading the file, right click on it and click 'Properties' then at the bottom of the page there is a checkbox to 'Unblock' the file Also, if you run Hyperspin before applying the fix it will still actually be running (even though you can't see it) so you'll need to 'end task' from task manager or reboot first. Tathan
This definitely solved my problem! Thank you very much. By the way, why should we use Windows LTSC?

FYI, HyperHQ also works perfectly on 1.5.1 on 2004 update, Windows 10 Home 64bit and also Windows 10 Pro 64bit
BlackPredator72
Anyone confirm if the fix also works on the 2009 build? I just updated to Windows 10 build 2009 (20H2) and the fix still works! Only thing that didn't work anymore was my x360 controller. Restarted PC with Disable driver signature enforcement and installed the drivers again. Working again.
