dougan78 Posted December 21, 2014 Author Posted December 21, 2014 Dougan78: If you had forgotten, I uploaded some Last Ninja 1 stuff to your folder some time ago. Add it to your collection if you want That is coming later this week and next. I will be getting all the manuals sorted. So stay tuned. Thanks for the scans!
dougan78 Posted December 22, 2014 Author Posted December 22, 2014 This may sound dumb but fam was over for my daughters 3 yr birthday and my bros saw chomp! On c64 wheel. Played for hours taking turns... like old times.. makes the whole project worth it by itself. First time the cat paw came down and got someone was like wtf!!! Then.. oh yeah!! Lol!! Good timez!
dougan78 Posted December 27, 2014 Author Posted December 27, 2014 GameMaker (USA) (Program) has been updated: Garry Kitchen's GameMaker (USA) (Disk 1) (Updated Wheel, Video, Artwork 3, Games) The original Gamemaker entry was a 1 disk and Gamebase had it as a 4 disk set. Not that I expect that many will be making games these days, but we can at least have it right and proper. Edit: and I cleaned up the wheels.
RayzzorBlack Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 Nothing dumb at all about that. I have been silently following your work as I grew up with the C64. The best of the old school systems as far as I am concerned. Glad you had fun with the system. That is kick ass. I love when friends come over and ask about some random game that only they remember or they see it on the screen like your brothers. That WTF moment and THEN they actually get to play it. Makes all the time spent worth it!
dougan78 Posted December 27, 2014 Author Posted December 27, 2014 The manuals was a larger than life undertaking by itself however I was able to complete the manuals portion of the project. I also was able to take the c64sets scans that were applicable to the games we have and merge those in as well for hyperpause Artwork and Manuals too(They had some gold box games, ZorkI-III and Ultima I and II that I wanted included!). I also made sure the Scans that Sic and Gigapig made are all included as well (thank you!) If a game did not have a regular manual, but the fronts and backs (which is typical for the cassette games) I merged all those together into a PDF for the manual. Unfortunately I wont be able to verify all of them there is just too much stuff and I am out of time for this project. I am working on getting it all on the ftp. I am clearing out the existing hyperlaunch media/manuals now and I will be re-uploading the hyperlaunch media/manuals. Total size: 13gb. Total number of files: 6739. I will post again when it is all finished re-uploading. I am guessing this will be done by tomorrow as the FTP is not done deleting the existing stuff yet and it been about an hour just for the media. I haven't even started deleting the manuals. Cheers! Long Live the C64 in your setups!
dougan78 Posted December 27, 2014 Author Posted December 27, 2014 War of the Lance (USA) (Side A) I am a sucker for anything Dragonlance related. So I had to have this added after I saw that the manual was already made and ready to go. Plus it gets pretty good reviews and looks worth a play.
dougan78 Posted December 27, 2014 Author Posted December 27, 2014 Mini Putt (USA) Put this one on there for my dad.
dougan78 Posted December 27, 2014 Author Posted December 27, 2014 Battletech - The Crescent Hawk's Inception (USA) (Disk 1 Side A) This is also a great game.
dougan78 Posted December 28, 2014 Author Posted December 28, 2014 Upload completed. Everything I have that is important for the C64 setup is now on the FTP. Updated Post 1 game list and file locations so everything you need to know about the setup is all in post 1. This was a great project and I had a lot of fun. I do not normally see people take requests for artwork for systems however I really enjoyed the requests as for me at least I knew it would be another game to add to my favorites wheel. I knew I would not get all of the games done however I got a fair amount. I would like to thank: Brolly for helping me decide on folder structure. Wahoobrian for his work on the Official C64 XML. The person who made some of the videos sync via hypersync. Damned Registrations for helping me cleanup the initial mess I uploaded and adding more games. Gigapig for submitting some very nice scans from his personal collection. Sic for submitting some very nice scans from his personal collection. Dime333 for the Fred's back boxes Anyone who requested a game to have artwork generated sooner rather than later (I cannot wait to test some of those requests out I already played a bunch). Anyone who makes stuff to share with everyone on here (With out the Amstrad CPC thread, Hyperspin Ready Spectrum thread, Amiga Wheels, and Steath101's work, it would have taken a lot longer and I could not have gotten the setup as far as I did in the timeframe that I did it). It is only through this type of sharing that our setups can get completed or more completed (what is completed anyway? Is this ever 100% complete? ). I know I have been working on this since August 1st 2014 and finished up 12/28/2014 as far as I wanted to go anyway(I originally told myself it will be ok to stop at 1054 and then I went on to over 1900+). I know some of the wheels need to be redone, some boxes could be cleaned up all in all I am proud of the entire setup and I enjoy just having HS sit on the C64 wheel and spin around aimlessly finding new treasures to play. Going forward: If there are issues with anything post them here and I will fix them up when I get a chance. Hyperpause may take a while to load with some of the games due to how many manuals there are I did not find it overly annoying. Just a heads up. Enjoy some C64!!! P.S. If I forgot to thank you: here is your BIG THANK YOU!

brolly Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 Thanks for your hard work on this, you surely came a long way on this one. Still plenty to go to cover all C64 games since the game list is huge, but what you made here is a pretty damn good starting point!

diago Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 I'm new to the site, and can't believe the timing with this having just been completed. Last night I stayed up until the early hours of the morning reading this thread. The amount of "oh wow, I remember that game" moments was almost overwhelming. It was obvious that I'd forgotten many of my favourites and it's thanks to you dougan (& others who helped) that I am now able to relive such a fun part of my childhood. Thank you so much - if I can make a donatation please let me know.

I am starting buck rogers countdown to doomsday right now my self. I never had the manuals so i am sure it will be more fun this time around.
sic Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 Found a little typo in the artwork folder HyperLaunch\Media\Artwork\Commodore 64\Last Ninja, The (Europe) (Disk 1 Side A) Should be a space after "Last Ninja" HyperLaunch\Media\Artwork\Commodore 64\Last Ninja , The (Europe) (Disk 1 Side A)
bclout Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 I want to express my sincere thanks about this project! You have re-introduced me again with my all time favorites Barbarian II, IK+ and Who Dares Wins. I cant thank you enough!

Dime333 Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 After checking out GB64, I noticed that "Battle Ships" is a mix of Three different games. The actual game is "Battleships". year and publisher is unknown. The video from emumovies is "Battle Ships". 1987 Elite/Hit-Pak. And the cover art is "Battle Ships". 1987 Elite/Encore. (Very similar to 1987 Elite/Hit-Pak). What i did here was replacing the game with the one matching the video. I Think the 1987 versions are by far the best battle ships games on C64.
Dime333 Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 I have uploaded a modified C64 system theme to my FTP folder that better fits the different sized covers in this Project. Some of the covers were so damn wide that I had to resize them, so there are 32 resized covers in there too. Dougan: Feel free to add this to your folder if you like. And by the way, I noticed that the cover for "Solomon's Key (Europe)" is actually the Wheel. Do you have the cover for it?
