matchaman Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 *Please move this thread if it belongs elsewhere* Really happy to see HyperList updated with separate Super Famicom and Famicom XMLs. I was wondering if it's possible to also have Japanese Mega Drive & Game Boy exclusives as separate systems? There are really tons of playable games that were released exclusively in Japan, just like with the Japanese SNES and NES titles. HyperSpin is the OCD curse we all love to love
matchaman Posted December 21, 2014 Author Posted December 21, 2014 About 1/3 are definitely playable without knowing any Japanese and there are quite many translations too. HyperSpin is the OCD curse we all love to love
jcm9800 Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 coool matchaman if you can work out whats playable and whats have translations it will be a good thing to have this too [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

matchaman Posted January 7, 2015 Author Posted January 7, 2015 Interesting, I would like that too HyperSpin is the OCD curse we all love to love
Aorin Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 I found it here http://www.sega-16.com/forum/showthread.php?13839-Japanese-Mega-Drive-games Here's a list of all the Japanese exclusives that aren't RPGs, strategy, mahjong, or unplayable for those who don't read Japanese. I did a separate list for shooters. If you have any questions about any of these, feel free to ask! Are there any others that I don't have listed? Aah! Phantasy Star 1 would be playable via the Power Base Converter (or Neo Myth); it's really just the Master System game in a Mega Drive cartridge case. Aorin

relic Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 these lists look awesome i cant wait to modify my own list of them 100%
DrMaxwell Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 I created a Mega account today and used my university's great upload bandwidth to start dumping my resources into mega. I will put up the resources I have found so far but my main concern is getting an accurate database. After cross checking with: Sega Japan site for lists of games released by Sega and Manufacturers MESS Software Lists Artwork so far: I have seen people on YouTube with wheels already created for this set. I know some of them are from this community too. I was wondering if anyone has Japanese only wheels made? I am not interested in the English translations as I want to keep this purely commercially Japanese released. Covers: http://www.guardiana.net/Ressources/Covers/Mega%20Drive/Japan/?PHPSESSID=632b2fe96822c3abecab6e624d9ab158 I have about 200 3D Box Covers sitting here, so half are missing. I am happy to forgo those in lieu of the flat variety above. The wheels are what I'm concerned about really after getting this database trimmed.
