The HyperSpin 2 beta is here!

We’re starting the first public testing phase with Platinum Members to keep the scope manageable while we test the current feature set and begin to add more. In the future, we’ll provide a version for basic members as well.  On behalf of the entire HyperSpin team, we look forward to another exciting adventure with our community.

I wonder how the (curved) screen works? Is it projected? From the back or the front?

Hmmm, this gives me an idea for a not too expensive flight/f1/etc simulator...

Probably a projector. Found this "Immersa-Screen" dev.

"This equipment and projector is available for PC and Playstation games as well as running Flight Simulation software packages."

Its a projector, basically you sit like 2 feet from the center of the dome, so the screen kinda wraps around you. In the jet game, going fast and getting close to buildings gave me a little bit of vertigo

Drool! I look forward to it being added to MAME in a few years. Simulating that dome will be no trouble when we all have holographic TVs and cybernetic implants...

Just dropped my daughter off at the local bowling alley for a kids party. I scoped out the arcade and found this game "Lost Land Adventure" which is another projection game with a domed screen.

Then on the way out I found the Star Wars game as well. I love the controls, but 2 issues at least for me. It's £2.00 a go and I watch the attract mode for 30 seconds and felt the old nausea coming on :(

Anyway I'm going back to collect her shortly so I might have a go.

I really want the play the old Atari Star Wars site down cab.

Quick update.

Well I'm obviously more of a Porkins than a Skywalker, as I didn't manage to destroy the Deathstar on my first attempt.

However while my daughter was playing a piece of that very expensive machine fell off. LOL.

Great game though, I did like the launch from the hanger bay, just wish it was on free play.

a place by me has the star wars machine but i havent had the time to go by there yet. You owe it to your HS brothers to give us an arcade tour

There isn't much there and I did consider it but it's damn noisy, which an arcade should be, but there was all the bowling noise on top so I couldn't speak over the video.

I may go back when it's quieter.
