Downloading Themes!

Even if there was no limit it would take you forever to download them one by one. IMO in order to I guess pursue Hyperspin as a hobby you are going to need a Gold/Platinum membership here and probably a membership at Emumovies as well. I can understand why that might be disappointing, but a lot of work has gone into both and until you or someone else wants to do all of that same work in their spare time and give it away to everyone, that is how its going to stay. I think its worth it when you look at how much retail games cost and how much Nintendo or whoever will charge for one 20 year old game through their download service. If you decide Hyperspin is not for you then good luck in your future endeavors.

I wasn't aware there was a limit for themes. But put things in perspective.

If you downloaded even 100 themes manually from the website imagine how long that would take?

Would you prefer to spend weeks to just download themes slowly as opposed to buying a membership and drag an dropping entire theme folders for a system?

Put that energy into setting up your systems as opposed to artwork. IMHO

Ps I'm pretty sure emumovies has a similar limit (maybe 10 vids in 24hours). I purchased a membership there also.

$$ go to maintaining the websites.

This was something i wanted to take time on and enjoy. I wanted a build of machines i used as a kid, so yes i wanted to do it one by one... A life sub is not for me. Once my build of 200 games is done that is it. I hope at least some of you can understand the pain of waiting a day just to progress with two themes!

No, suck it up. It takes me way longer than that to produce a theme that you get 'for free', not to mention the time that others have donated.

dude dont come in here and complain about not being able to download other peoples hard work for free fast enough. If you're so into arcades, then do the right thing. Pay for the memberships, get HyperSync, and download them all in one go. I didnt want to pay for memberships either, but it makes HS so much easier when all you have to do is hit sync. Respect the artists, support the places that host their work.

I could say don't share if you don't want to lol. But no there greatly appreciated of course

Where would this community be if Matted and the rest of the artists took your advice? You wouldn't have anything to download...I guess problem solved

No offense, but you sound as if you feel that your time is more valuable than that of the artists that bust their collective asses to produce outstanding work. They do it for the love of the hobby and to contribute to the community...they get no part of the membership money. How have you contributed to the community? If you don't have the artistic talent or the time, donating is the way many people contribute and show their appreciation for the awesome product that HS and Emumovies provide.

I'm sorry for the rant but am just getting sick of reading these threads every couple of days from people complaining that they want more from an awesome, free product or that they're entitled to artists and developers giving up their entire personal lives so they they can have a new version just because they did donate. It's mind-blowing to me.

Hopefully I'm misreading your post and that's not at all how you feel....

Sorry...just saw this:

i have 5 left to finish. So yes, it is possible.

If that's the case, that means you only have to "wait" three days to complete your project...that's too long?

I feel your pain, but if you feel that $45 is allot of money to spend on this hobby, then you should reconsider spending any time and effort doing what you are doing.

I spent well over $1000 (including PC and monitor) on my cab, I want to upgrade to LED buttons, I did the math

$100 Howler controller

$10 each LED button (23 buttons)

$30 LED joystick (4 joysticks)

$20 LED Blinky

the $45 is a bargain compared to the hardware costs. The donation is similar to buying 1 current gen system game.
