Here is an example of our first complete gun holster for my Hyperspin arcade cab!

It was a 2 month design/concept build

This is a piece of 1/4 aluminum bent to specifications, trimmed, and mounting holes drilled

3/8's neoprene foam rubber with adhesive backing added to the inside area to protect the plastic of the gun

1/4 pneumatic air tubing, cut and molded to the front to protect the gun while it rests against the holster

painted with chrome paint

If anyone is interested, Im thinking about mass producing these, and selling them for somewhere in the neighborhood of $95.00 bucks for a set of two, (price subject to change) post here if you would be interested!

Thanks for the suppot

I understand, but they do look hand made from the pics you posted. So to charge such a high amount, for what is essentially a bent piece of metal with some padding stuck on, seems a bit inflated. The pics you posted, the metal looks scratched, and the edge molding isn't even on straight. I would think if you are going to charge almost $100 for something, it would look amazing and not home made.

Triple the price of happ holsters??? Check your math they want 60-120 bucks for 2 holsters, i know the price is high for some, that's fine, no one has to buy these, I thought I would just be nice and offer to build some if anyone was interested, and this is just the first prototype, future ones will be more spot on, I'm surprised by the high level of thread crapping, Im not set on making anymore anyways unless the materials and labor are paid for, I'm more than happy just making two for me

And even though these will be painted again to fix the minor blemishes, I think some of the "homemade" looks of it are what make it stand out in a positive way, just my opinion, I don't want everything on my cab to be cookie cutter machine made and I think these are a nice personal touch

ok checked math, you were right. I forgot it was a "pair". With my comment i was just pointing out that, when you DIY you have that personal acomplishment feeling or as you ike to put it "I think some of the "homemade" looks of it are what make it stand out in a positive way", hell there's parts on my cab that people look at and are like WTF? i reply it gives character, im pround of the bumps and scratches. However, maiking something for someone else, there going to want perfection. That being said, since there is no personal gratification, if your going to buy something why not buy the cheaper, It may not have quality but looks good premade item.

I ment no disrespect, sorry if i crapped on you.

You should have them stamped instead of bent. In China.

I used to get stuff done a lot more complex than that a hell of a lot cheaper - from a local guy in Hayward, CA. Including powder coating and silk screening.

Although adding chrome to anything is stupid expensive these days.

Nice. What did you use?

A piece of textured HDPE from MaMaster-Carr (9785T112 $10) it will do two. Some tapered bolts and some rubber tubing. the tubing goes over the bolts to protect the gun. and they double as a standoff. Here are some more pics. post-59512-142870580016_thumb.jpg

I know I'm chiming in super late (this post is almost 3 years old) but, just reading your original post, there's NO WAY you're gonna have success selling these holsters in that price range. They need to cost in the $35-$45 range.

...this is free advise of someone who does Product Management for a living :o).

You need to cut down cost somehow my friend.
