Just finished reading. A great bit of reporting and photos. I plan to do the samd by using b&q to do my cuts. Also how will you be fitting the laptop into the cab? Will you be seperating the monitor somehow?

I ask as im doing the same with an old 19" laptop which has got broken hinges

Funny enough i haven't used the laptop it was to slow, if your planning on using one i would strip it down disconnect the screen and pick up a cheap monitor and plug that in

Cheers for the advice, I was thinking that but I dont know how to connect the screen unless I use the vga port. Gonna test it out as when I try it on my TV it doesnt detect the screen on stadtup and I have to hook up the monitor again.

The vga port is fine you can't connected a monitor any other way unless you have HDMI port on both devices, you may have thought like me that you could connect to the same connection of the built in monitor but they are worlds apart

Its close to these plans

ezymepar.jpg

Its approx 14inch wide 24 inch length

4inch deep to 9 inches

It is small its gonna be a squeeze to fit the mobo in but it does make it a desktop pinball i like you have no room

Here is a xbox controller to show the scale

Wow it's all quite on everyone's arcade builds I guess the hobby is better in the winter,I haven't updated much as I've hit my months budget

I still have these projects on progress

Donkey kong/fix it

Mini pinball

Wedding present Bartop

My main problem is the amd e350 motherboard I use is now discontinued

For £80 it was great for my cabs

Anyone know of any other budget mobo?

for around that price you could buy a low end processor, motherboard and ram, as individual components... just look on the novatech site
