zebow2002 Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 here it is: <menu> <game name="Sega Master System" /> <game name="Sega Genesis" /> <game name="Sega CD" /> <game name="Sega 32X" /> <game name="Sega Game Gear" /> </menu> using 0.4.2
sevenseal Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 here it is:<menu> <game name="Sega Master System" /> <game name="Sega Genesis" /> <game name="Sega CD" /> <game name="Sega 32X" /> <game name="Sega Game Gear" /> </menu> well that look right, then all I can conclude is that your database doesnt have the information need to display what you are lookind for.... might be a issue how hypermarquee is setup? do you have the hyperlist set to your hyperspin database?
Antos Posted April 7, 2015 Author Posted April 7, 2015 I can also have a look, but before just want to make sure that, within your EDS setting, you have put the system param within double quotes. ["system"]. Since you have some spaces in your system name. Let me know. HyperMarquee & Event Dispatch System
sevenseal Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 already corrected the typo in hyperlist path did it work after you fixed the typo?
Antos Posted April 7, 2015 Author Posted April 7, 2015 Did some test with SEGA Master System and it is working fine for me. Here are some screenshots to help as a visual. EDS (5th line) HM HyperMarquee & Event Dispatch System

zebow2002 Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 Ok, it works when I use Aces of aces, but the romname is Ace of aces (europe) as per hyperlist, so it doesn't detect it in the ini. The ini has it listed as Aces of Aces. That would explain it, how do I get around this?

zebow2002 Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 Hello, My artwork is matching the romnames. the data in the default sega mastersystem.ini isn't matching the hyperlist romnames. Example: Lastest Hyperlist SMS file: <?xml version="1.0"?> etcetc -<game image="a" index="true" name="Ace of Aces (Europe)"> <description>Ace of Aces (Europe)</description> etcetc artwork etc is no issue, works fine. As it's named correctly. Now, Sega Master System.ini using latest hyperlaunch: [Ace of Aces] Publisher=SEGA Enterprises Ltd. Developer=Artech Released=1991 Systems=Amstrad CPC|Atari 7800|Atari 8-bit|Commodore 64|DOS|MSX|PC Booter|ZX Spectrum Genre=Action|Simulation Perspective=1st-Person Perspective The names in the game info ini files are not the same as those in hyperlist, not for any of the sega systems, they are missing the USA or EUROPE part that is included in the hyperlist xml files and where my romsets are based on. Are there other game info files available that match the hyperlist xmls or a software to change this quickly? tnx

zebow2002 Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 When I change [ace of aces] in the sega master system.ini to [ace of aces (europe)] it runs fine. So there is a difference. Could you check your ini has the (europe) label behind it? And if you hyperlist xml also showes ace of aces (europe). Otherwise it's magic and not software. tnx

zebow2002 Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 I'm using this in my EDS, perhaps there is my fault: Are there any other variables I can use instead of "[game]", like goodname or game name? there has to be somehting different.
sevenseal Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 yes it is based on database, which all the info pulled from... the from there; the romname is pull and used from gameinfo
zebow2002 Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 WORKS: Doesn't work: Where do I set it to read it as you say it does, because it isn't right now. I can't launch any game info as the rom files are different. Although they are synced to hyperlist xml. What screenshots do you need from my settings, I really want this fixed Sorry for the trouble and thanks for the support!

sevenseal Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 I'm sorry but I feel like I'm talking in circles. My roms are synced to hyperlist. the game info.ini files aren't... they supposed to be... the database uses filename... and gameinfo uses romname.... hypermarquee get the romname from the hyperlist's filename after it has the romname, it then pull the gameinfo text
zebow2002 Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 Ok, good info. So everything is as it should be and it isn't working, what can I check.
zebow2002 Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 This is now partially fixed. I had to redo the settings as they were created in an old version of Hypermarquee I still have a mismatch when I use the actual filename that is synced to system.xml in this case it needs ace of aces (europe) and it won't find the description. The gameinfo.ini needs "ace of aces" without europe.
sevenseal Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 This is now fixed.I had to redo the settings as they were created in an old version of Hypermarquee I would like to thank sevenseal for the immense patience and amazing support for this amazing add-on! thank you thank you thank you [emoji481] glad we got it to work dont forget that we unblock some of the exe
