lildivaaa Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 sevenseal, I was able to get the text working correctly! It was probably me missing a step, oh well. I do have one other question. For the text, I want a solid black background...not the initial black transparent one. I've looked all over but can't find an option to make that change. Any assistance? Craig

Creating the black image did the trick. Now, one other thing. On scrolling text...I want it to scroll from the bottom up, but once it's on-screen I want the scroll to stop...not just keep scrolling off screen. Ideas? Craig
sevenseal Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 dont select looping... forgot what the other setting is and change the delay
lildivaaa Posted February 10, 2015 Posted February 10, 2015 dont select looping... forgot what the other setting is and change the delay I've done that...but it's still scrolling off screen. I did not select looping and I've changed the delay to several settings. All that does is delay when the scrolling starts. Any more ideas?

All that does is delay when the scrolling starts.Any more ideas? Hello, for now there is no many scrolling features, only simple scrolling (other than shaders transition). But I am considering adding a lot more possibilities to it at point of time. For now, I am very busy developping a Control Panel viewer that, I hope, users will appreciate. There are more ideas then time available... :-) But here is a tip for the time being, go in the shader transition area, you will be supprised to see what you can acheive with transitions applied on text! Antos Posted February 15, 2015 Author Posted February 15, 2015 Any update on the CPU usage bug? Thanks! Ok, let me put a priority on this and get back to you later this week. I am also very curious. HyperMarquee & Event Dispatch System

gooch Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 For anyone looking to add a ton of artwork to the HyperLaunch collection so it can be accessed by HyperMarquee, I just created a batch script to convert all the EmuMovies Download Service Utility (DSU) files into a HyperLaunch-compatible file name and directory structure. I added about 100,000 files of artwork and video adverts to my collection using this method. http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/showthread.php?39245-EmuMovies-DSU-Artwork-to-HyperLaunch-Media-Batch-Script /gg
Antos Posted February 16, 2015 Author Posted February 16, 2015 let me help you narrow down that issue more once I get home from my trip To ccarlesco & Sevenseal, Please test HyperMarquee (Beta Version 0.4.1) and let me know. Problem should be gone. But I haven't made lots of tests. It is located in the HM download section. Just replace HM.exe with new version. thanks. Let me know. HyperMarquee & Event Dispatch System
ccarlesco Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 It seems to be working! I didn't notice a cpu spike. I seem to be launching multiple sessions of HyperMarquee in Hyperspin even though cbr is not selected in EDS. Is this normal? Thanks! Great Job!

I seem to be launching multiple sessions of HyperMarquee in Hyperspin even though cbr is not selected in EDS. Is this normal? Thanks! Great Job! Thank you for testing. To answer your question, CBR works along with CLI method when a given launched app needs to be closed before each new calls. Now, Hypermarquee works best with pipe/cli method where CBR is not needed. One warning, launching apps with CLI and omitting CBR may overload your computer memory and CPU by duplicating the same app on HS wheel change. Please feel free to chat with Sevenseal if you need more clarifications on EDS settings. :-) Thanks again for testing. HyperMarquee & Event Dispatch System
gooch Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Hi guys. My Alternate Artwork 4 doesn't work with the Artwork Cycling option checked. I've tried swapping Alt4 with Alt1 to see if it's my notation that is the problem, but it just changes which artwork doesn't show up. Here's my config: http://pastebin.com/Bwn6AAt8 Thanks! /gg

I trust you without even looking at it. I will fix this later this week or so. FYI, I am finally starting to be excited on all the work am doing on the Control Panel Display, which keep me very busy since Christmas. An early prototype version should be available sometime this spring. BTW, I haven't got the chance to look at your recent post on batch script to convert all the EmuMovies (DSU). But I will, this looks very interesting. thank a bunch! Also, I was thinking of you recently and a feature that might be of interest. Would you find useful to intergrade Hotkey recognition within HSfileWatcher/EDS? This mean that you will be able to launch any apps on key press events in conjunction with EDS. Example launching, yet to come, Control Panel Display when you press pause? (or a chosen key with any other app of your choice)? Cheers, HyperMarquee & Event Dispatch System

gooch Posted February 18, 2015 Posted February 18, 2015 Hi Gooch! I trust you without even looking at it. I will fix this later this week or so. Woo-hoo! Just a thought - so that I don't endlessly (and annoyingly) request more alternate artwork options, is it possible that anything above Alt4 could simply be added in the XML manually? As you saw from my EmuMovies DSU script post, I now have so much artwork (100,000+ files in my HyperLaunch Media directory alone) that my arcade is now physically heavier, and I'd like to display some of it on my second monitor (and my third if the household CFO - my wife - approves the Purchase Request). FYI, I am finally starting to be excited on all the work am doing on the Control Panel Display, which keep me very busy since Christmas. An early prototype version should be available sometime this spring. This makes me more than just a little happy. CPwizard by Headkaze does this already, but I've discovered some bugs and would like additional functionality; however development on this has stopped, presumably while Headkaze builds GameEx Evolution. Let me know how I can test or help. Most people have thousands of games on their cabs, and without some form of button labeling, that's several thousand more than an inebriated house guest can endure me explaining. BTW, I haven't got the chance to look at your recent post on batch script to convert all the EmuMovies (DSU). But I will, this looks very interesting. thank a bunch! My script that's posted currently has a bug - a bad Find & Replace job left it with two '/q' arguments in the xcopy commands towards the end of the script. It won't fsck your system, it just won't work. I'll post an update as soon as my day job lets me have some free time at night. Side note - HyperBase Live is supposed to do everything my script and HyperSync do, all in one package. My script just lets you do it now, without waiting. (or a chosen key with any other app of your choice)?Cheers, Abso-friggin-lutely! I have made some attempts using AHK and HyperMarquee to display the current game's control panel with buttons identified, but it's buggy and slow. Emphasis on slow. There's no pre-loading and uses the CLI portion of Hyper Marquee, meaning it can take a few seconds for the display to pop up, and I know my house guests have the patience of a 12 year old with ADHD. Having a keypress option in EDS with toggle awareness would be fantastic, and anything you could do to improve performance (like pre-loading) will help things a bit. EDIT: You may even consider not having a new Hyper Marquee instance popup at all, it may make sense to simply have HM control the popup rather than EDS. In other words, when my in-game marquee pops up and cycles through my 5 artwork files, it would silently load in the background another image that is for the control panel button identifier. When the hotkey would be pressed the new graphic would appear immediately rather than to pipe or CLI another instance of HM. Another keypress would return you to the artwork cycling. Thanks guys, I really like what's happening with your projects! /gg
Antos Posted February 18, 2015 Author Posted February 18, 2015 without hyperspin running with hyperspin running Thanks, from what I can see here, there is no CPU consumption problems anymore. Just curious of the instance that takes around 7-9%? what this one does? HyperMarquee & Event Dispatch System
