zorg2000k Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Hi Antos, Thanks for the beta version v.0.4.0 Revision H, Ive updated this morning and set the DMD shad settings as per you guide earlier. I can see in the general TXT preview box that this has been applied but when I exit out to commit and launch via EDS it is not applying the filter. I spoke with sevenseal and he has also seen the issue on the Revision H as well , so I'm wondering if this is a bug ? Cheers

I will see if I can implement few shader layers if there is a demand for that. Let me know if it works now! :-) HyperMarquee & Event Dispatch System

Also how do you setup eds / hyper marquee to show system marquees on the main hyperspin wheel i.e mame, snes, nes etc

Antos Posted February 6, 2015 Author Posted February 6, 2015 One clarification for HyperList files used in the HM 'Game info' config section. Recently I have noticed that different file format exists on the Hyperspin FTP site and some users have reported HM crash. Please note that HyperMarquee is compatible with official HyperList files only. Please used *.xml files from the Hyperspin FTP within this folder: /Gold Member Downloads/~~HyperList TEMP/XMLs Official Enjoy! Antos HyperMarquee & Event Dispatch System
zorg2000k Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 hi zorgI was like to ask you to follow the post #298 on this thread and go there sevenseal Hi, Nope still having issues getting Hyper Marquee to work within Hyperspin main wheel and read from one file to pull through game info. Any video guides on this one ?
sevenseal Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 Hi, Nope still having issues getting Hyper Marquee to work within Hyperspin main wheel and read from one file to pull through game info. Any video guides on this one ? if you setup hsfilewatcher, along with your eds setup, you will be able to display your main menu as you hover over them, the instruction provide is well explained, please take your time to follow the steps. your current problem is not a hypermarquee issue. the issue at hand is directly related to how eds and hsfilewatcher are properly setup. only until then will hypermarquee function with the main menu of hyperspin. I have to express that hsfilewatcher is a program to help assist hyperspin the communicate with 3rd party addon; hyperspin does not have this feature in it current version. I have to encourage you go to the eds thread like how I have pointed you previously, I must maintain the focus of hypermarquee directly related topics to this thread and keep things seperate from one another. please follow through over on eds thread. sevenseal

Antos Posted February 8, 2015 Author Posted February 8, 2015 If anyone is interested I have started to make some custom Marquee's for systems, first one will be Nintendo 64, Can be found in my ftp folder :/Upload Here/zorg2000k/Hyper MarqueeThis is an example : This is an excellent initiative and looks great. One thing that will be interesting is rather to create an image, would be having access to the images separately and pull them has a theme. I haven't created theme support per say with HM (only HS theme compatibility) but that is something in the radar in order to create powerful display like HS. Until then this in an option among others; Options, no particular order; - Option A: Flat image marquee. Pros: very straightforward to manipulate, Cons: Static (no animation, 1 ratio format) - Option B: Separate the images and let HyperMarquee pick the images separately and display them. Pros: flexible, Cons: no animation for now, but can support animation in future HM versions. - Option C: Continue using HyperSpin Theme format for now within HM and see if BBB will come with a revised Theme editor that support 16/9 ratio or more. - Option D: Tweak HS Theme format to support 16/9 ratio (and others) for HyperMarquee. Quite simple to do, need to agree on a new standard. - Option E: Create a complete Theme Editor for HM. Here is a sample HS theme, displayed in HyperMarquee (already some compatibility) that can be tweaked to be displayed in 16/9 ratio (or ohers) AS of now HM support HS themes with video. But no animation yet. Any thoughts / input? HyperMarquee & Event Dispatch System
mayhem85 Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Hi, Nope still having issues getting Hyper Marquee to work within Hyperspin main wheel and read from one file to pull through game info. Any video guides on this one ? I was going through what sounds like similar issues with my main menu. After Sevenseal and I banged heads for a little bit he noticed that the folder was set to "read-only" on the folder properties (Right click on your hyperspin folder -> properties -> and make sure to uncheck read-only). As soon as we did that everything was happy and working as it should. I was going crazy for a few days until we figured that out. Following the guides that sevenseal posted on for setting up EDS with HSFilewatcher worked like a charm! Thank you guys, this is an absolutely amazing product to add on to Hyperspin!!!
lildivaaa Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Hello All, So, I'm finally jumping into the HyperMarquee arena, but having issues. I've got the marquee itself working just fine. What I'd like is to now display some text and I'm having a heck of a time figuring that out. I want it to look similar to THIS: Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. Craig

lildivaaa Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 what is your issue exactly? I'm trying to get any type of text to show on screen. I guess I have a question or two about it. One, can the configuration of the text live in the same configuration as the marquee or do I have to build a separate configuration for the text ONLY? Also, I did "kindof" had it working, the field was there for the text...but no text. Basically, I'm a noob at HyperMarquee...I'll admit that. Just looking for some guidance on setting up some simple text to display along with the marquee. Once I can get the initial text going, I can probably figure out the rest from there.

I'd love to, but can't from where I am right now (the boss wouldn't care for that too much!). Well, what I will do is later today I will run through setting it up again and this time I'll take notes along the way. So if I run into trouble again, I'll have something better to reference.

zorg2000k Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Yes read the read only post and have undertook that as well. When i'm on HS main page I see blank marquee, when I go into a system i.e sega 32x it shows me graphics. If I exit out to main HS menu that sega 32x graphic stays active, if I enter another system that new graphic shows, but then carries back over into my HS menu when I exit. Getting frustrated now LOL
sevenseal Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 then what I can tell you, let me assist you through rdp/vnc method then
