CarloCGC Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 MAME - MAME Dreamcast - NullDC TurboGrafx - Retroarch Is there a way to use bezels in windowed mode on most emulators? i Thought RL forced fullscreen if you use them.

CarloCGC Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 Just tried running mame windowed with no bezels but maximized and HS still lost focus. It seems the only fix is not using HM

sevenseal Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 what video mode is mame on, gl? d3d, and what hlsl setting are you using... using hlsl setting can force fullscreenthe picture is set to auto, which is not the samething set as one or the other
CarloCGC Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 I think Mame is set to Auto on video mode and HLSL is set to enabled. I am happy for you to check remotely.

I am happy for you to check remotely. i might do a session tonight after i get off work, what i would like you to do is download teamviewer from teamviewer.com, send me you id and pw from teamviewer later today in an pm
sevenseal Posted November 30, 2016 Posted November 30, 2016 well i fixed your issue, it was rocketlauncher was not set right with your frontend. its required the "restore and click on exit" of quit rocketlauncher to return back to HS, i left an detail note on your desktop
CarloCGC Posted November 30, 2016 Posted November 30, 2016 Hey SS thanks for checking that but those rocket launcher settings didn't fix the problem. HS still loses focus I had tried those settings myself and they had no effectf. i wonder if there is a problem with my RL.

HS still loses focus [emoji20] I had tried those settings myself and they had no effectf. i wonder if there is a problem with my RL.it might be, i would leave them on, i would try updating it, i notice you had a not so normal structure to have hs and rl install together.
CarloCGC Posted November 30, 2016 Posted November 30, 2016 I have left them on this time. I meant when i tried it earlier this week i turned them off when it didnt work. I will try updating RL. I also noticed EDS is forcing my cursor to the top left of the main screen when its opened on the desktop. Is this expected behaviour?
CarloCGC Posted November 30, 2016 Posted November 30, 2016 Definitely does for me i tested it last night. I will post a video when i get home. EDIT: The way i tested was this: Basically I wanted to know where my cursor was after opening HS with EDS and HM and I found it was top left as soon as HS opened. I tried opening HS on its own and cursor was middle of the screen where I left it. and middle of the screen with HM on its own. I then tried EDS and everytime I opened it my cursor is sent top left (0,0).

I then tried EDS and everytime I opened it my cursor is sent top left (0,0).here is my question about hs? is it set on fullscreen?dealing with multi-screen setup, all programs need to be set as windows mode.. thats is the standard requirement and if you cant do that than a multi-screen will not function correctlyfullscreen enforces focus on certain item which causes many issue when you display something on one screen and there something else on another screen.when you mention it throw your curser to 0,0 that is a same result when a app is open in the background when in full screen, and yes eds is being open after hs. conclusion is hs is in fullscreen modeyou have fullscreen on something, my guess is hs, and i did not check that last nightwhen you mention rl doesnt restore your hs on exit tell me you do not have hs and rl setup properly, meaning you dont have rl default set as hs. rl between hs something not setup righteveryone setup is different, so i cant help fix this issue until you fix the others.
CarloCGC Posted November 30, 2016 Posted November 30, 2016 I have tried HS in windowed mode same result. As far as i can tell no other programs run fullscreen. As far as RL goes i am not too sure what you mean I have HS set as default frontend for RL. (HS and RL function perfectly without EDS & HM) beyond that you may need to have another look at my setup ( if you get time, of course ) When i said EDS is putting cursor top left, I mean when EDS is opened by itself. No Hyperspin or anything. Could you tell me how Rocket launcher folder structure should be organized if you think mine is wrong. I thought mine was installed to the root of my hyperspin drive as would be normal but i would have to check that to be sure.
CarloCGC Posted November 30, 2016 Posted November 30, 2016 Ive taken another look at my RL and HS setup and both are installed to the root of drive F: in their own folders F:\RocketLauncher\RocketLauncher.exe F:\Hyperspin\HyperSpin.exe Is this correct? or is it not what you meant? Here is a video of EDS forcing my cursor to the corner: Thanks again Sevenseal.

CarloCGC Posted November 30, 2016 Posted November 30, 2016 Do you mean when using RL as the front end like this:
sevenseal Posted November 30, 2016 Posted November 30, 2016 Do you mean when using RL as the front end like this: your default should be hs not rlui
CarloCGC Posted November 30, 2016 Posted November 30, 2016 It is usually. i have just changed it because i thought that was what you meant This is how it normally is:
CarloCGC Posted November 30, 2016 Posted November 30, 2016 I think i see what you mean now and yes the cursor is moved as soon as Hyperspin and HM opens.
