TpsKevin Posted July 22, 2017 Posted July 22, 2017 I did put the quotes on either side of [event] in my parameters (I figured it was a typo in Vetter's post). I also tried without [event]. No change. EDS starts with HS, the marquee window opens up on my second monitor but it shows no artwork only a grey shaded box. It seems in the HS log to be sending info to EDS but no change in marquee window when scrolling game wheel or selecting a game. If I'm in EDS and type in the send message box 9 (event box) joust(game box) mame (system box) and push the try or launch all applications button. The joust marquee pops right up

sevenseal Posted July 22, 2017 Posted July 22, 2017 i can tell you this issue is premissions/access issues... you can test this by installing eds and hypermarquee in area where windows doesnt have edit/access lock location. sometime people disable UAC on their PC to prevent this issue because it pain all together to have UAC enable example, your desktop wouod be a good start or the root of your hdd drive then give it try that way
TpsKevin Posted July 22, 2017 Posted July 22, 2017 Yes a few times on this build I have thought I should just reformat the hard drive and put in a fresh install of windows 7. I already put the slider all the way down for UAC. I will try reinstalling on my desktop and see how that goes

I will try reinstalling on my desktop and see how that goes fresh install is best. if you copy the folders overs, it will require you reset the permissions on the folders and files inside, because they are locked in a read-only status. just fyi

I used winaerotweaker to shut it off.

Thanks for all of your help sevenseal and darthvetter if either of you or antos need any art printed up let me know. I put in some pics of the cabs I've built so far (I printed all the art, gotta love craigslist). Still have to make the smash tv for my two stick set up. Then maybe a driving cab, hahaha. thanks again

Then maybe a driving cab, hahaha. thanks again i like the look of that machine lol... windows 10 is great honestly.... one major thing you have to do from the start is disable UAC.... that system is a nightmare for developer/3rd party apps. once gones... its a piece of heaven, personal i would suggest you to try 10 again with uac off, it is night and day

gigapig Posted September 4, 2017 Posted September 4, 2017 Had a corrupted Hypermarquee xml today which caused Hyperspin to run very badly. Luckily I had a backup.
