Hyperxmlspin have been updated to 1.8.0.3 with some fixs and features :

+09/14/2017 - Fixed --> Game or games stay visibles on listview during edition
+09/13/2017 - Fixed --> Artwork size of valid button when used with "Edit"

i tought this tool helps send correct emulator info so i dont have to set RL with one? Or did i misunderstood.Or maybe a bug? is there somewhere 1.8.0.2  so i can try?

I must say the newer version I just re-installed is awesome!! And working well.

Is there a way to customize the themes as in placement of buttons, size and fonts used in the search bar, how many results will show and placement of them?
I would love to customize it further to fit my theme I am working on currently as its one of the last pieces of the puzzle other than some RL Pause and bezel work.

Your created XML and your ini seems corrects . Is your rocket launcher folder at a specific location ?

Have you check rocket launcher wiki ?

Hi actually you can just customize artworks buttons and  backgrounds ..sizing and posizioning are not availables that will be more easer for me to create your theme instead of create a  dedicated app to do that. Number of results depends of hyperxmlspin resolution.

PM me if you want to create a public new theme for hyperxmlspin we could do it together.

That actually sounds like a plan. Just putting some finishing touches on a Universal Theme with Launcher Overlay I am working on .

I will PM you soon on how I would love it setup if possible and provide you with whatever media you need.

I have quickly Drawn up a demo on top of my Global Theme I am working on with 1080p Preview Below.

The Alterations I am hoping for HyperXML are all in the Video Window. Not sure if many/any of the ideas are available when the program currently.. but never know if you don't ask.

Yes , more eyes are better to this theme project , i will waiting to collect enouth information before launch the theme creation. For example :

where do you select years , manufacturers & genres ? does The pen button let appears the virtual keyboard ?

Otherwise , your idea is interesting , i'm happy to work for that...

Can setup maybe Buttons to change from System, Years, Developers/Manufacturers & Genre lists.

Also the Pen Tool was more for perhaps creating your own and selecting custom Custom Saved Filters? If you are frequenting a specific System/Dev/Year combo it would be great to have.

Also would be nice if the System Logo's on the results page was drawn from another folder in HyperXML as I have "Removed" the wheel using blank images they dont show up anymore.

But cant find the emulator info, which is understandable because i didnt setup any emulator for favourites, but isnt that the point of tool? to send "emulator" for specific game to the RL ,so he doesnt search in "favorites" ?

In your case , the game title isn't "decoded" by HyperXmlspin that means your favorites.ini file (that is located in your HyperSpin/Settings) not pointing to HyperXmlspin and launch directly RocketLauncher.

For created HyperXMLspin lists the right order is HyperSpin(Select game)->HyperXMLspin(Decode Game & system name)->RocketLauncher(Launch Game through System Module)

The Favorites.ini beginning must be like this :

Ok for first screen , i understand what you means about system , years ....

Saved Filters is a good idea but may increase complexity of interface. I would like to keep a simple usage as possible.

I don't understand why you don't want to show the system logo ?

If you have artworks for Virtual Keyboard and others buttons it will be greats also !

I do want to show system logo, but as my system logo's are "nothing" they dont show, and when I say nothing they are 5x5 transparent blank images.


If HyperXML looks to another folder other than Main Menu/Images/Wheels for the Logo it can show again for me. Also it will allow people to use custom logo's other than their wheels. Maybe a button to use Either main Main Menu/Images/Wheels or %system%/System Title etc.

For my HyperControl System I am just using these for my Keyboard Icon. The Colour version I use for mouse over and can just paint over with other colours if wanted.

P.S With Hypercontrol I launch the Tabtip keyboard in windows other than OSK as I find it nicer..

Well, alright. I dont know what to tell you. Ill just give up and use the manual RL database game by game setup.

But wanted to say that , everything was automated, i didnt touch config as it was created by tool and everything seems ok. Except that "emulator" is just not being sent as command to RL

I only just installed a fresh copy of this with my new setup today... 
Its working flawlessly, with some little hickups when loading 12 video previews at once, but think that's due to me working off an External USB 2.0 HDD..

Also found a fun little endless loop if you set Hyperspin to Load with the program and also HyperXML on Close..

Only way to stop it loading endless copies of itself was to Log Off Windows and then edit the .ini file manually. :D

Try to check your HyperSpin\Settings\Settings.ini file and set the path were you installed RocketLauncher.  Example Hyperlaunch_Path=C:\RocketLauncher\RocketLauncher.exe

I've windows 10, and since a recent update i having some glitchs into videos preview , after some test i realise that windows defender taking a lot of ressource , i've tried to set an exclusion for the entire folder and also the hyperxmlspin app into windows defender config , but problem still appears again. So 'i've installed a new free antivirus (avast) and the problem was solved . (no more glitches and high process)

I dont know man this is actually first time me saying that...

i checked Rlauncher and this is his last call:

So clearly RL is getting command to call "favorites" as emulator but such doesnt exist.

Everything was straight automated process , from creating list and then this. Why isnt it getting emulator info from tool i cant figure out.

I am using your tool on manual startup but that shouldnt matter as long as its active

Ok i understand , this tool is not compatible with hyperXmlspin. To test a game from hyperXMLspin list you have to use directly HyperSpin.

I never managed to make multisystem generated list to work with this. But i realized easy way to to it , same way can be used by this tool without any heavy modifications.

All it needs is to add <exe>systemname</exe> to the xml and use original game name from the xml. And any collection will work on both HS and RL.

 

example Resident Evil Collection xml:

Hi , After some tests , it seems like impossible to do because games that have same name across different system will have the same artworks and videos...i have to keep the solution to rename the game name tag.

The only place u can add a tag is game name, i guess if u have to , u can keep one simple solution, add system tag to end of the name. A simplified short name like emulationstation uses.

(snes,gb,ps2)etc , then use the same for links to theme/media in symlink/hard hard copy.

OPS That wont work if u change the name in db it wont link to the game any more. Well i am not sure how to solve duplicates

Yes , for me the only solution , until hyperspin automatcly links artworks to their system when tag <exe> is present , is to keep this uncleaned database.
