I see the problem comes from game name from your atari 2600 database. Actually hyperxmlspin just read the first parameter of game tag xml , ordinary and most of time it's name= but for your database it's index= , I ve to change just a little thing to get it compatible with this kind of database.

Hi , hyperxmlspin 1.7.0 is released , here are the importants change:

+09/25/2016 - Fixed --> Buggs from edit list mode (Themes and videos are now marked as yes or no)
+09/21/2016 - Added --> Maintenance Tool to convert medias to symlinks in "scan medias".(First activate "use ntfs symlinks" option)

I've included into package ABestOfAll.xml that you have created (that's the same as your top games xml and contains 245 games)

I've explain in main post into part II (standalone installation) how use and hyperxmlspin xml list (with your list as an example)

I suggest that you or anybody could create a topic with all shared hyperxmlspin lists. Or create a directory for hyperxmlspin lists inside hyperspin ftp ?

I just got around testing this, I checked media, auto scan and replace with sys shortcuts, it ran for nearly 19 hours and never finished. I see considerable updates though and space saved however it never finished. Is it supposed to take this long with 100 systems? If I scan media does it redo everything or pick up where it left off? I'm on Windows 10. Anyone else getting this?

Hi , ninja , the option "replace medias with symlink" take a long time , because of this function have to made some test before delete the media and create the symlink.

Maybe the solution will be to change this option to convert all medias to symlinks without checking files , in this case medias & existing symlinks will be deleted and converted to symlinks.

After scan , the final count showed will not be only the medias found and converted ,  but all the medias (including existing symlinks).

If you nevermind the final count , try the attached exe , that will convert faster your medias.

Thanks man will test tonight. I had 50 gb in media, then went through 19 hours and it's down to 15. Can't wait for it to be completed glad it wasn't an error. I'll try the new exe soon!

I assume I should use this in place of the exe you provided me off hand? Lol I'm still trying to get all my media replaced, do about an hour every couple of days. Still great job and will be worth it in the end

Hi ninja2bceen , for the moment it's not customizable , but that can be a feature added later ,

for the moment each game found in quicksearch mode will be shown as on top system wheel artwork , middle video or artwork 1,2,3,4 found , bottom game wheel artwork.

Yes all other features will be here when you click the tools button with some difference  :

add , create & show usage will be the same as edit mode : delete , move up , move down directly the result list before save it

export will be only used to export hyperxmlspin genre list to a main menu list ,  create , add , edit will be the standart to actually "export" a main menu list.

database will not be created : it will not be necessary to scan & recreate each time you add a game , a re-scan will be optionnal only if you add a new year or a new genre.

Hey r0man0! Awesome add-on! Just found out about it, and checking the file download was going to comment that it could use a visual revamp to make it more appealing (guess that my artsy OCD wants everything to look sexy). Glad you are working on that for the next release Seems its going to be a huge one.

Constructive suggestion: it would be awesome to let the user select (outside of HS) to use either the full version (with all the checkboxes and export/create lists options that are mouse operated), or a simple version that only has a search bar and shows results (so it is more user friendly with cabs, gets the user to play right away, and everything looks clean without filling the screen with configurations and options that wont be used).

Hi everybody ,  since last post i've added an option to select the hyperxmlspin theme that allows you to customize all buttons with your own artworks (you only need to keep the same folder structure and files names as the theme i will share with the future beta release).

I've also fully rewrite option menu.(more readable)

There is now 1 search view(instead of 2) and the 2 results view (quicksearch & multisearch).

For example : If you let the "tools" button unactivated (by default)  on search view , your results will appears on the quicksearch view , otherwise if "tools" button is activated , your results will appears on multisearch.

I've also fully rewrited search engine to be the fastest possible.
