Ok so in eds make all the drop downs cbr and my paranoia will be put to ease got it

Within hypermarqee I have a file names rename me. What do I rename it to? I believe it was a configure file

The tutorial posted went through setting up mame in hypermarqee. So I don't have to do this for every systems correct? Does it set things up globally for all systems them for hyperspeech? I'm confused why we had to set up mame and how that means I wouldn't have to set up each system the same way for hyperspeech to work. It seems hypermarqee is unrelated since I don't have a second monitor

Within eds, what specifically needs to be set up for hyperspeech. The screen shots show multiple rows. A proxy one, a hyperspeech one and eds on. I posted my configure files to be sure I have the right ones. Seven seal suggested a few things that I'll try tonight.

For Hyperspeech, I do not have a clue and I do not use that tool. So I can't help you with that. Don't take me wrong, HyperSpeech is a great tool! HyperMarquee is also doing Text-to-Speech as another option.

The HM speech function is not specificly for MAME, it requires only one (1) setup for all systems for a specific speech task. So only one configuration set for you to do.

The guide says very clearly how the rename the RenameMe.exe. But little hint, it is related to Ledblinky.exe or something like that lol. (There is a good reason why you have to rename it yourself, out of my control, sorry.)

But first, to simplify things, please tell us more about your projects and what you are trying to do? Then, we can help you out well with 1 thing at the time.

(Also, let's move this support topic to HyperMarquee thread if you like to pursue with this, since this is EDS/HM and not HyperSpeech tool)

ok I looked at the tutorial again. The eds part is the only thing that is still confusing with the screenshots

is the screenshot correct? Event speech should be the only thing there and I can remove the other rows? Note that event speech is mapped to hypermarquee. if the other two rows are needing to be there, what needs changing?

this is on the tutorial.... it tell you this your results of your setting should look somewhat like this when adding event speech and system & game bio to eds. it there to make sure to help make setting will be concluded as that

the other application entry up to you if you want to have it or not... if you just want the event speech. then leave just that just that line entry.... you control what you amount of things you want setup to run.

but if you want both features, just remove the middle entry, it will not be needed for speech like Hyperspeech

Yes this is exactly what the how is. If only I could determine what I'm doing wrong. Yes I don't have a second monitor so I don't need any of that fan ones but the voice is so smooth like butter. Something I did hear in the video, it seems the system name is getting bleed into the system description. Is there a way to have the system description start 3 sec after the system name is spoken?

It's so frustrating that this is so close and yet so far. To get what is thing the video, without the marquee screen and just the voice, do you have to complete all the steps in the 481 post? I feel like it should just be the first few but I have no idea how eds and hypermarqee really works. All I know is I need to modify the main menu Ini to add more bios.

whoa I'm really sorry for getting you so upset, believe me that was not my intention. I'm just trying to get this set up. I see you updated the main menu Ini based on the file I posted, I'm happy that advanced the cause a little. Ill try again tonight and if I have problems I'll look put he eds thread. Maybe others have had no problem setting this up and it's just me? I'll keep at it, im certainly frustrated with myself since this isn't my first rodeo

i made a bad decision continue to provide large information and support that no longer focus on hyperspeech.

please respect the thread area of the programs and seek you answers appropriate threads if anything else is needed.

Check the eds thread folks I put my packs on there so hyperspeech is running but it needs more tweaking at least it's more than what you have with this broken version.

every user has a different setup, most likely your pack wont work for anyone else because, each entry for an application instance has a unique signature for your pc which most likely wont on someone else...

which will still required them to setup anyways.

Ya a giga video needs to happen. I'm just think about all the tinkering we are doing really should be standard in the Ini. I get each set up will be slightly different with different paths and some settings different but aren't we all trying to use the same overlying features which is use third party apps? I was reading in antos eds post and it even said if there are recommendations of what should come included to let him know. This can from djvj and antos and they are suggesting the very thing I am. This needs canned settings by default and folks can mess with the paths all they want and it will just work. Here is the post

Well I'm excited, the fog has lifted and I now have more understanding of how EDS and HM works. 

 

Having defaults is all well and good but you really do need to understand how everything is linked together.

 

Massive thank you to Sevenseal for giving up his time to go through the set up process. We did have some issues which may be bugs or my system and windows Defender, added exceptions to HM, EDS and LEDBlinky and it seems fine now.

Yes it's a pretty amazing piece of tech however it's terribly complex. Giga guides will break through I can feel it
