World of spectrum?

Skickat från min iPhone med Tapatalk

Got that but still need a quality XML. I do have one with about 4000+ games but not sure how detailed the XML is.

as well as c64 , I also did the zx spectrum , CPC , and Atari St database, I think the c64 was the only one I handed over for some one to check and complete, which I think they added probably around 1000 games.

if no databases exist I can share. I already started sorting covers and snaps for cpc

*edit* I just seen there is a CPC database with1700 games. not sure what its based on but after doing extensive searching I got around 3050

Brolly is working on ZX Spectrum, I finished CPC (has 3,104) and Atari ST (2,894).  I'll get the ones I finished uploaded today/tomorrow....

That's brilliant. I always wanted the official XML s released ASAP so any renaming was only done once [emoji4]

Hey guys,

If anyone is interested, I just uploaded some C64 media on Emumovies FTP. For some reason I am unable to create a new folder on HyperSpin FTP for me to put my stuff in, hence using Emumovies.

I have copied over there 2610 wheels, 2600 boxes and 695 videos, all matching the official XML. I did not make any of this, I only used all the sources I could find, combined and match as best I could. I used HyperSync, both HyperSpin and Emumovies FTP, as well as dougan's, and relic's work for sources.

You'l find the stuff @ Emomovies FTP under _Artwork Submissions and _Video Snap Submissions in Raziel2k6.

Enjoy!

On a side note, talk about killing a thread! LOL This Commodore 64 topic was on fire until someone derailed it onto ZX Spectrum, and then nothing! hah!

Anyhow... I was wondering, dougan78, are you still working on making more artowrk for C64? besides what I was already able to match up?

If someone wants do do a little matching, The iso called "GBC_V13 Main.iso" found here http://www.lemon64.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=55031&sid=ee07785c71b3782816c30d54f4bf009c contains screenshots for the gamebase games.

I'm currently running Tur-Matcher on that set, but its over 40.000 artworks and over 8000 roms. Tur-Matcher was not really optimized for these sizes so..

8000x40.000 = 320000000 different combinations to go through and calculate best match. So far its taken 3 days but its down to the last 500.

I think I'll try and optimize Tur-Matcher better for these sizes but I don't dare touch it now that its been running for so long.

1st Division Manager I did not add this one origanally becuase I could not determine if the spectrum style box or amiga style box was the correct one.

Aftermath (Alpha Omega Software) (Europe) is using the same artwork as Aftermath (Alternative Software) (Europe) this is not correct.

Agent Orange (Europe) is using the wrong artwork (from the advert not the box and wheel needs to be remade)

Alien (Argus Press Software + Mind Games) (Europe) is using the wrong wheel art same artwork as Alien (Europe)

Alien (SoftGold) (USA) is using the wrong wheel smae as Alien (SoftGold) (USA)

Alley Cat (Europe) was wrong in my setup and really was Alleykat (Europe) so renamed artwork so Alley Cat (Europe) is a dupe with wrong wheel.

Armageddon (Visions Software Factory) (Europe) using Armageddon (Ocean) (Europe) wheel which is wrong.

So all in all after reviewing a few of  them it seems like most of your additional wheels are all just matched to games of a similar name and using the wrong artwork.  Thanks for the effort though!  I am still plugging away so I would not worry too much.

Oh! I'm sorry for this.

This was my first attempt at mixing and matching, as I have always used whatever has been on HyperSync before the Commodore 64. I just though I'd give it a try seeing how much was missing. Seems like it was not a success. I didn't do too much verifying afterwards, basically I just used all the sources I could find and ran all the matching tools I knew of, and I ended up with what I thought was not bad. In the end, my bad... :(

Dougan, I will then wait for your work and use it gladly once it is completed.

Thanks!

No biggie. I was really psyched to add your stuff in and ran a windiff to see what was new so I could hunt down boxes. Thanks for your help though!

First run complete. 6600 was a direct match. Now looking forward to saying "yes its a match" or "no it does not match" for the next 2-3000 questions I'll get...

Good news everyone. GF decided to watch sex and the city so I had time to click click click.

7246 images to be used as videos on the FTP. Let me know if you find any mistakes =)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the screenshots posted by Turranius suffer the same issue than all the stuff I posted yesterday, a lot of duplicate screenshots were used for different versions of games. In my case, I know Tur-Matcher was the culprit, since it only looks at the first part of the name, before any parenthesis and cuts out the rest before matching, causing a lot of duplicates.

I'm guessing for screenshots this may be OK, but as far as wheels and boxes go, as dougan said, my work was useless. Hope this is not the case here :)
