sandman7793 Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 There was one given out in the cabinet forum, I asked for it a while back. But also go to xarcade website, that's there exact cabinet. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk A boy stuck in a mans body
or8ital Posted January 6, 2014 Author Posted January 6, 2014 Yeah the xarcade looks nice but outside my budget. Do you happen to recall which threads it's in? I've tried to search without luck. KMHamel Posted January 7, 2014 Posted January 7, 2014 Well I tried everything I could think of and still can't get a controller image to show on the controller screen. Is it supposed to show in the blank spot between the rating graphic and the no. of players graphic? I also see in the settings file, that it states that the show controller image is always active and that the settings "true" "false" do not work. Could this have been turned off in the main program instead of on?
or8ital Posted January 7, 2014 Author Posted January 7, 2014 I didn't remove it. You have a screenshot? Info on HyperspinHelper Software: http://hyperspinhelper.wordpress.com. KMHamel Posted January 8, 2014 Posted January 8, 2014 Here's a shot of the control screen for an amiga game. There is a control image in the file. I even renamed one for mame just to see if it would show up. This is a really great program, I can't wait to get it all going.
or8ital Posted January 8, 2014 Author Posted January 8, 2014 Yep. Between the two icons on the bottom should show the controller image. But you have to make sure you have one for the rom (Same name). Otherwise it should default to one for the emulator. None are included for mame. Info on HyperspinHelper Software: http://hyperspinhelper.wordpress.com. or8ital Posted January 8, 2014 Author Posted January 8, 2014 Control Panel or Controller Images - On the controls screen you can optionally show an image of the system controller or game controls. In the settings.xml file set the “ShowControllerImages” to “true” to enable. It will then look for the image based on the first it finds in the following two locations: 1. [hyperspin folder]\media\[emulator]\Images\Controls\[rom name].png 2. images\controls\[system name].png Info on HyperspinHelper Software: http://hyperspinhelper.wordpress.com. Now #2 do you mean: hyperspinhelper\images\controls\[system name].png/ If this is right, than this is how it is setup.
or8ital Posted January 9, 2014 Author Posted January 9, 2014 No. Just working from memory since my PC still isn't set up. What in each of those directories above? Does NES or SNES work? So following your instructions it should show the system controller images, out of the box. Right? Or do I need to make a folder as in #1 even though its empty. I haven't set up snes or nes
or8ital Posted January 10, 2014 Author Posted January 10, 2014 There are not images for the systems like mame where the controllers are different out of the box. You have to add the images manually. Yes I know, If you look at the screen shot, it is the Amiga. I also tried playstation and 3d0. All three of these have system images. edit: Made a controls folder in the hyperspin media folder for the amiga " [hyperspin folder]\media\[emulator]\Images\Controls\[rom name].png" and made a control image for the 1943 rom. Still did not show any image on the control screen.
or8ital Posted January 10, 2014 Author Posted January 10, 2014 I think the syst controls go in hsh folder Info on HyperspinHelper Software: http://hyperspinhelper.wordpress.com. KMHamel Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Well I decided to start over with hyperspinhelper. I deleted all the files and reinstalled the program. Only changes I made was turning off the mauquee screen and changing the control screen to monitor 2. Both main monitor and control monitor (7") are set to 1280x768. 3DO control screen now shows a system control image. Yeah! I made a system image for Daphne. named it daphne.png, stored it in the same folder as the 3DO control image. It does not show up. Now I just have to find out what is different between the two.
or8ital Posted January 11, 2014 Author Posted January 11, 2014 I just tried it on my system. Works fine by just adding the image. Double check for a typo? Should work for mame too. or8ital Posted January 11, 2014 Author Posted January 11, 2014 I have animated gifs working for the default marquee. Unfortunately I don't have a suitable animated gif to include with the code which is preventing me from releasing it. Someone up for the challenge of producing a suitable 1920X360 default marquee animated gif? It should have a black background. Oh, it also has to be compiled as a resource into the program meaning there can only be one image that everyone uses (I am looking for ways around this). KMHamel Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 I just tried it on my system. Works fine by just adding the image. Double check for a typo? Should work for mame too. Thanks for bearing with me, I got the system control images to show up on all the emulators I have setup so far but Mame and daphne. Even if I rename one of the other system control images, these two just wont work. How did you get them to work? What size images. I named the images Mame.png and daphne.png.
or8ital Posted January 12, 2014 Author Posted January 12, 2014 I just renamed one of the existing. I don't believe it is case sensitive but I do have the case matching. (MAME and Daphne). The only other thing it could be is that you have HSH installed twice and are running it from one location but changing images in another location. I assure you it works and there is nothing in the code that excludes mame and daphne. I just didn't include generic images for those are there are none. KMHamel Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Well shoot, I tried coping and renaming an existing controller image that I knew worked, no joy. These seem to be the only two I am having problems with. Just to check, on the ftp the version was done in 11/30, that's the newest one right? Another question: Is there a way to use a standard font for the controls? I noticed that different roms show different fonts. Some are huge and others are tiny. It seems that the fewer buttons on the screen the larger the font.
or8ital Posted January 13, 2014 Author Posted January 13, 2014 Don't size changing is by design as there I'd no upper limit to the number of controls.
