  1. I can make an ICO file out of anything you want as long as it is pretty good quality and preferably on a transparent background.
  2. Check to see if the files are identical. If they are then SWEET.
  3. There is a .git folder. It is a hidden folder.
  4. 1: You can edit the XML or Tick the wheel filter for Roms only. And it might sound insane but fill in the Executable Path, Rom Path and the Extensions section of each Wheel Settings that you want to do this with. 2: Yeah HyperSync can do it. You can also get stuff from the FTP.
  5. The Docs section is not up to date. It still has useful information for HyperSpin and HyperHQ and stuff but yeah it is for the older version. I believe someone is working on getting it updated but the Doc section is HUGE. Sorry for the confusion. That's a bit confusing cause in cas of fresh install, there's nothing to overwrite in the Hyperlaunch folder. The files inside the original download from the download section is different to the files on GIT. That section is taking your downloaded GIT updates and dumping them on top of your live HL folder. That is why it is overwriting. The comment is correct and that is exactly what will happen. GIT is the update and Updates overwrite your old files. Well, in fact, after a fresh new install, there's already the "Hyperlaunch_Path=C:\Hyperspin\HyperLaunch\" line, but just at the end of the [Main] section. However, I added it like asked in the tutorial, but don't understand the goal (cause it's already there). It is already there IF you are using the default directory. If you are using this on another drive or for some reason you have decided to use a custom folder you should check that. It doesn't hurt to make sure things are perfect. If we extract the archive, we gonna have "hyperlaunch media" folder. That's not correct. We need to cut/paste the content of "hyperlaunch media", which is the "media" folder. I was a bit lost, so i guess noob like me will be too. I will post some questions here if I don't understand the noobie guide. That one I can't answer as it has been a long time since I did that step. Ghutch all yours.
  6. The emulators are setup as global emulators now. Each AHK module has module notes you can read inside HLHQ. The recommended emulators are based on what works for most people. If you have specific games that won't run on those emulators you can setup alternate emulators for use with those specific games. All updates to HyperLaunch etc are done through GIT. When you setup a system with a base install of HS and HL as per this guide if you go to choose a default emulator you will be given a choice that is limited to that system. You can happily switch between those choices at any time with ease for most of them. You just need each emulator setup into its own folders as per the Global Emulators INI file. I have a blog post I did about that just under my lovely super meatboy photo. Oh and stop using note pad to look at AHK files as HLHQ will do everything for you. Unless you are an adept with AHK it is kinda pointless cause the scripts already work for most people.
  7. I have extra USB plugs in my power board that never get used. I like the stronger signal of that. Yeah just got me thinking at like 1am. Bad idea to start thinking this late at night.
  8. Well that's interesting. 4xAA batteries. So that would probably work fine from USB. Hmmm.
  9. I actually need to work out a way to make the sensor bar wireless myself as my machine will be cocktail style in a coffee table but obviously in the same room as my TV so can be plugged into that for gun games etc. Any info on wireless sensor bars for AimTrak has me interested.
  10. calibration of the guns is very much about the distance away from the screen. Since many guns are corded most people would stand back where it is comfortable to shoot but not so far away from the screen that the cord ends up tight. On my mates cab he is running a 32 inch LED TV and the two aimtraks and we can switch from one player to two player games without much issue. I've heard the cordless ones cause issues when people move around the room more than normal. One of the reasons a WiiMote and similar console remotes are so good is that the physical location of the device is also tracked in 3D space so calibration can happen on the fly. A cordless AimTrak would benefit from that technology greatly. But I digress. Enough of my guff.
  11. Yeah they do work for a lot of things. http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/16226/complete-guide-to-symbolic-links-symlinks-on-windows-or-linux/
  12. HyperHQ changes settings in HyperSpin. HyperLaunchHQ changes settings in HyperLaunch. HyperLaunch can be used with other front ends that send CLI. HyperList still has Database files but some may be empty and need to be found on forums or FTP. GIT is used to manually update all files in HL and HLHQ. All your old AHK files are obsolete. The way you used to sort your emulators is now obsolete. You don't need multiple copies of your emulators anymore. I'll probably have more answers for you once you get around to asking the questions.
  13. No intro video done but Startrekker if you ask in the EmuMovies forum and give a list of say 12 game from mixed videos you can already get Circo can quickly put together a video for this if you haven't already. Circo rocks.
  14. You seriously have to ask that question? Of course we want to see this wheel. All I'd say for direction is that the system with the most gun games is the main part of the wheel and the rest are alternative emulators etc.
  15. OMG. Nice work Ghutch
  16. I can't see an emulator being discussed in an open forum for a piece of current hardware. My suggestion. Download the emulator. Grab a game. See if it works. If I want to play XBox I use my XBox.
  17. Speaker plug needed is a "feature" HyperSpin is a front end to start your emulator. It doesn't run the game it is just a pretty picture to link you to that games emulator and start it.
  18. +1 I want to see more people doing artwork so the more help they can be given the better.
  19. Dropbox? I don't think I updated at the right time either. Need to check that.
  20. So you have double checked it is named correctly? That is the only reason it would be missing. Unless the emulator ini file was blank. Open it up and check.
  21. Have you went to C:\HyperSpin\HyperLaunch\Settings Scroll down to the bottom and see if you have a "Global Emulators.ini" file setup? If not you will see the one there named example. Make a copy of it and change the name (remove the Example bit) and open that up and take a look.
  22. Technically an Aimtrak works as a mouse. So if you can figure a way to make a mouse control Hyperspin and point and click using the fire button then technically you could control Hyperspin with your gun. It wouldn't be easy but can't technically see why not. Perhaps another program could be found that once Hyperspin had focus your Aimtrak could be used to gesture on the screen. Like have no idea what you could use but hope that at least gives you a few ideas what to search around for. BYOAC would be the place to look for that sort of thing.
  23. Yeah true. But I like sugar coated things and like trying to eat a cinnamon doughnut without liking your lips it is impossible to resist. What I really want to do more than sharing the files is to get accurate information on each emulator and direct links to the files that work plus links to a working BIOS that goes with that emulator. Plus adding in whether a new version is available and if it works with older modules here. Hmmm. That should keep all camps happy ... enough. Oh and as a side note setting these things up is driving me nuts. The little things that go wrong and the complaints from X Emulator not having Y INI file and blah blah blah... No wonder some people just give up on some of these emulators. LOL.
  24. I'm saving the emulator creators bandwidth and also putting links to their original works. If they get pissed about that then they should be mega pissed about the dozens of other sites that already do this. Well Illegal is such a strong word. The illegal part is when you put an emulator and a bios file together. The distribution would have the two parts separated and it is the users choice to put them together. And legally you can do this if you own the hardware etc. Emulation is such a grey area.
  25. Thanks bro. Added to my Dropbox. Will have a play today.
