But will take months if not years to get to a standard where it's anywhere close to Hyperspin 1 Both are totally different IMO

I am using overrrides for all my media. All the videos show up perfectly for all games just using the override folders and so do the Main Menu videos, but NONE of the media will show no matter what I try. I have literally spent 2 days trying to get it to show and the best I could get it was 1 main menu wheel showing (see below) Hopefully this is a bug being worked on, as I really don't want to start over again as I have done it about 10 times so far. ps, All Appdata folder and anything else were ALL deleted before I re-installed HyperHQ as well as the registry. I am currently on the latest v2.0.36

This is the startup/exit menu in HyperHQ for Hyperspin Is there a way to add something like this to Hyperspin 2 so it allows us to add a bat file etc to exit HyperHQ.exe and Hyperspin.exe completely, rather than it being stuck in the Task Manager ? FYI, When HyperHQ is closed theJoy2Key.bat file below kills Hyperspin.exe,HyperHQ,Joy2Key and anything else you want to close.

Add png to the video extensions ?

Thanks, had tried that previously and it didn't work. Just logged on and checked it, now it works -
As there are not MP4's available for all games, maybe allow png files to fill in gaps for videos as in Hyperspin 1 ? Tried adding some for Game Boy and they just don't show up.

FYI, All the Main Menu videos and game videos all show fine just using override folders , it’s just the main menu wheels, game wheels and box art not showing.
-
Yes all unchecked yet videos work great for all systems just using overrides.

If you download the latest v2.0.36 it now gives you a path to choose.

I did another clean install v2.0.36 (removed all appdata etc) and am using the overrides folder for all the media. Now the main menu wheels and game wheels in Hyperspin are not showing , yet all the override videos all work ok. All the shows up fine in HyperHQ (see below) is this a known issue as I have literally tried everything ?

FYI, Just updated from v2.0.35 to v2.0.36 and it is still installing to wrong location C:\Program Files instead of D:\Arcade

Version 1.0.0
11 downloads
The 1983 classic multi-room platformer Montezuma's Revenge returns in 2.5D glory, and now Pedro's adventure is bigger than ever with 100 tricky rooms to explore! For its 40th anniversary, what was once an unfinished game is now resurrected to match the full vision of creator Robert Jaeger. -
PC Games/Windows also work perfectly using shortcuts, but you need to use RocketLauncher as the emulator. I know that's not what they are wanting us to use, but at least it works for now until they get around to it

Since the last update to .35 all the themes are suddenly looking grainy when previously they were not (see below) It looks like there is a fine shader covering the screen for every system.

Look to get rid of the _cache folder ?
Creezz67 commented on Creezz67's record in HyperSpin 2 - Enhancement Requests
The only reason I mentioned this was I told the Launchbox admin the same thing about 2 years ago and they said they knew it was a BIG problem, but the only way they could rectify it, was to start coding Launchbox again ..... from scratch !! Now, 2 years later (7 years since it's release) it's like a Ferrari with a lawn mower's engine and completely useless. -
HyperHQ is still not installing in the correct place when updating from v2.0.33 to v2.0.34 My setup is located in D:\Arcade\HyperHQ and it installed automatically to C:\Program Files\HyperHQ Why not have an option box to ask where you want it to be installed ?

Look to get rid of the _cache folder ?
Creezz67 posted a record in HyperSpin 2 - Enhancement Requests
The new _cache folder in the media folder takes up so much space it's unbelievable. It literally copies EVERY item of media again and put it into the _cache folder I only have 10 systems setup and it's already 13.5gb I predict it will be 100-200gb+ when I am finished. Launchbox has this same setup and it grinds the entire setup to a snail pace the more you add. I suggest before you get too far into this, you take a look to see if it can be eliminated in any way ? -
No, now all videos are being sent to the correct location

I updated from 31 to 33 and it installed into C:\ instead of D\ once I moved the new HyperHQ folder onto my D:\ and then added a new system all the media it downloaded was added to the correct location (D:\ drive) for the first time
