Not allowing us to use our existing media is INSANE .... Why would you think that's a good idea ? You have focused everything around stopping people selling the drives and forgetting about the users. We have spend over a decade compiling all this media, enhancing it, re-sizing it getting it to be the best it can be only to see it's all now useless. If EmuMovies had EVERY logo and EVERY video for EVERY game then fair enough, but they don't. Even the first system i added ATARI 2600, there was missing media everywhere (that i already have) but can't add to this setup. I think you are going to find this is all going to fail very quickly unless you have a major rethink. Also, can't use a controller to exit Hyperspin (you need to use a keyboard) ? Also EmuMovies videos download to C:\Hyperspin by default even though my setup is on an external drive ? When you then copy them back to the external drive they don't show up in Hyperspin ??? There are a million other things that i don't like but this is for starters. So disappointed after all the excitement of hearing Hyperspin 2 was coming (thinking it was going to be a superior version of what i had currently) Sadly, this is just like Launchbox was 5 years ago (and that's not a compliment)

What I am saying is that people keep coming back to Hyperspin because even without any improvements it's still better than ALL other frontends ( I have Launchbox setup with over 600 wheels and it's laughably bad in comparison) Like a Ferrari with a Fiat Punto engine (Looks great from the outside, but is as slow as hell) Hyperspin with the same systems performs perfectly well and until another frontend does that, Hyperspin will always be my go to. Yes, I don't understand why it's not Open Source if he doesn't want to maintain it anymore. Major improvements could be made overnight by others in these forums, that's for sure.

There are other frontends like you say, but none better than Hyperspin/RocketLauncher combo (even though nobody has touched it for years) Launchbox for example is laughable in comparison ... it's so slow it's practically unusual. Imagine how good Hyperspin would be now with another 6-7 years of improvements !!!!

Yes, but you could just uninstall it then turn off Windows updates completely until a fix is found.

Is this another manual install or does it install automatically ?

FYI, That's why mine didn't work previously. I put them all in a separate folder and no luck, but when I put them all in the root with the exe all working fine. Just need to find the missing command that lets you put them in a folder on their own, as I have other bat files like PSVita that work fine in their own folder.

Where are you putting your bat files ? In a separate folder ? Also, use nightly update rather than release on update channel (settings/configure in emulator) as for some reason they act differently. Où placez-vous vos fichiers bat ? Dans un dossier séparé ? De plus, utilisez la mise à jour nocturne plutôt que la publication sur le canal de mise à jour (paramètres/configuration dans l'émulateur) car pour une raison quelconque, ils agissent différemment.

No luck here. What settings do you have in RocketLauncher ? Anything specific ?

Hi all, Has anyone managed to get this working in Hyperspin ? I tried this bat file but can't get it to work using PCLAUNCHER module ... shadPS4.exe "D:\Hyperspin\emulators\shadPS4\ps4 games\CUSA00319\\eboot.bin If I remove "D:\Hyperspin\emulators\shadPS4\ps4 games\CUSA00319\\eboot.bin, the emulator opens fine using the bat file, so it must be an error somewhere in the line ? Any help appreciated

UPDATE .... I have just installed Windows 11 HOME EDITION onto a new SSD (version 24H2) and all was ok, UNTIL a security update November 21, 2024—KB5046740 (OS Build 26100.2454) Preview stopped Hyperspin from working. It's now safe to say that if you want Hyperspin to continue working .... DO NOT update to Windows 11 (version 242H)
