rebelmaveric19
Buliding this for my little girl that is 4 months old Its all built out of 3/4" Birch and has a plexi glass playfield. Ipac 2 for controls led-wiz for undercab blacklights, rear flashers, and button lights with led-blinky to stobe to music u-hid-g for "nudging" VirtuaPin buttons 24" playfield 17" 4:3 backglass 6" sub and 2 satellite speakers PC Specs: my old gaming rig Q8400 8gb ram 1066 120gb Muskin SSD 9800gt Video Card GA-EP45-UD3P mb Win7 ultimate FP and VP emulators with Pinball FX2 also I havent finished painting the cab but would like to get graphics done for it, make the legs, and i already cut and bowed the plexi for the top playfield. I have to install the t-molding which holds the plexi in too. Also doing all preview videos with sound and thats about 200 tables (man that takes alot of time). Edit: Finally have my graphics done! Lucian045 did all the printing and he is top notch! I know this isnt as cool as a 37" or 42" but we dont have the space for it either and this is just the right size for a kid. kizam33
yeah they do, i thought the preview videos take up too much memory? where do you find the sound for them? Sweet. , how long have you been working on it? I like the curve in the front you have some skills.. R those different colors coming from fans? wowter
Buliding this for my little girl that is 4 months old If i had kids i would build them an entire arcade (at least i would tell my wife that its all for the kids)

rebelmaveric19
The preview vids are only on average 50mb per movie with sound, and have only been working on it about 3 weeks. I just record the table in attract mode and use the sound from the table and if it dosent have an attract mode I just play the table for 60 seconds with my sucky pinball skills. I think it adds a finishing touch to hyperpin because i have a Hyperspin setup that took me 4 years to complete and im just used to the sound in the videos. The curve on the front was an after thought because it was hurting my hand when playing it. As you can see in the pic I cut and bowed the plexi with a heat gun and a 2" radius pipe (my dad and i did it, was a sob). The colors in the rear are coming from these http://www.frys.com/product/6738695?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PGhttp://www.frys.com/product/6738695?site=sr:SEARCH:MAIN_RSLT_PG. I went into frys and went apeshit in the case accessories department. Hey Mike i have checked out your stuff many times in threads looking at your cabs. How do you design your artwork, that is the only thing i dont even know where to start at! I build stuff like this just to see if I can do it (like a test to myself) and i probably will never play with it after a week or two, so thats why I can say im building it for my daughter
mameman
Love the idea, been thinking about another mini for sometime. My only concern on the acrylic is how well it hold up to scratching and being cleaned. How long until it starts getting hazy and impacting things. Nice work . rebelmaveric19
I did acrylic because i didnt want one of the kids breaking and cutting themselves. I figured if it does get scratched i could just sand it with 1000 grit and paint it with clear. I used to do paint and body when i was a kid. I really dig your cnc stuff, wish i had one, the things i could make! PS. My buddys think i build the coolest stuff, I hope they never find this site b/c ya'll make my stuff look like junk. mikekim
quite a few companies will provide scratch proof acrylic, some will even coat with anti-glare as well. seriously considering this route for my cab.
rebelmaveric19
Well I have never touched Photoshop until 4 days ago and tried doing my graphics on my own. This is not esactly what i wanted but i think it turned out pretty good.

blacketj
This is awesome. I love the mini-pins. I'm really curious what technique(s) you used to pull of that rounded front edge. Looks really nice. And it is a good safety feature, because this is for the kids...

rebelmaveric19
@Blacketj: I literally just took a piece of 5" DA sandpaper and that had the radius of the curve i wanted and traced it around the edge and cut it off with a jigsaw for the wood. For the plexi i just heated it up with a heat gun while clamped to the banister of my porch with a pipe clamped underneath it and let the weight of the plexi bend itself. Kind of hard to explain but im pretty sure u understand. I "Macgyvered" it! @Monkey: Are you gonna use a Laptop as your second screen? Im pretty sure your not but thought i'd ask.
