Mmm strange; I do not recall adding any games into your db, maybe I did with this one and I do not remember. Nevertheless, awesome game; I finished it some time ago, the last world (the one you unlock with the keys) was brutal but a lot of fun.
Honosuseri Posted December 19, 2018 Posted December 19, 2018 Great post about Contra @Kondorito! One of the things I love about emulation and Hyperspin, is how we can compare games that appeared on multiple systems (i.e compare ports) Back on topic...I've been doing a lot of Amiga/CD32 emulation testing on Android. I never really was a Nintendo fan, I'm a SEGA boy at heart BUT seeing Contra reminds me of Midnight Resistance. Sunk many hours into that in my youth and have enjoyed playing it again of late! No, it's not me playing. Didn't see the point of recording gameplay when others have done a great job of doing Longplays "There is so much more and beckons me. To look through to these, infinite possibilities..."
Kondorito Posted December 19, 2018 Posted December 19, 2018 Awesome share @Honosuseri, never heard of that game before, but looks great! I will give it a try tomorrow in the Genesis.

I will give it a try tomorrow in the Genesis. The Genesis/Megadrive version actually has a completely different plot. I'd say it's an inferior version as it lacks co-op. It was also ported to the C64, Amstrad CPC, ZX Spectrum as well as the Amiga. The Arcade version is interesting, the cabinet had rotary arcade sticks! You move like on any traditional cabinet but to aim you twisted the stick to set the angle of attack. Have fun "There is so much more and beckons me. Kondorito Posted December 23, 2018 Posted December 23, 2018 Just found this: Haven't tried it yet, but seems pretty well made.
LindaDutton Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 Hey, guys, I am new here well this is my all-time favorite topics to discuss. One thing to be open is to introduce yourself well, I am Linda and I like doing paintings and playing. Apart from this, I like to play a shooter video game like Destiny 2, Call of duty. I have remembered that I used to play this super Mario game in my childhood in the big system. Looking for the latest series to have. Are you still playing this one?
Kondorito Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 Digging in my old discs drawer, I found awesome retro gems that will surely be adding to the FE (still ironing a few things in regards of their emulation, as they are Windows 3.x and 9x games, and do not run on my Windows 10 64bit system). One of the games I found laying there was "Zombie Wars" (the sequel of Alien Carnage/Haloween Harry), that was made by Apogee/3D Realms (the company that brought us Duke Nukem, Commander Keen, Rise of the Triad, Raptor, Terminal Velocity, Wolfenstein 3D). Investigating in how I could emulate this game, I found out that 3D Realms released a pack in 2015 called ANTHOLOGY, containing over 30 of their games, ready to go through DosBox (cue the cry of joy). In case you are not sure what I am talking about: I will sure be adding this as a "3D Realms" wheel, with all their logos, videos, and stuff. Super pumped!
gigapig Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 Over Christmas I had an urge, an urge to revisit Comanche 4, a game I loved but never finished. So I grabbed to old Cyborg Evo Force flight stick from the attic and got the game working on Windows 10. It's still a great game and I think it still looks good. Also still trying to finish Song of the Deep which a nice chilled out Metroidvania style game. And my son got New Super Mario Bros. U Luigi version for Christmas, so we've played some of that.
gigapig Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 Oh yeah, just remembered something thanks to kondoritos post. I also had an urge to play this. This is a 2D platformer which I played because my GPU had to be sent away for repair or RMA. I had to borrow a GPU from a mate and Duke was playable on it. It was a blast to play, hopefully it still is.

Funny you brought it up, I started playing Manhattan Project yesterday XD Never played it before; found it clunky, messy, but a lot of bizarre fun, Duke style. And I remember Comanche! I had Comanche 3 if I recall correctly (just searched my games but could not find it )

Widescreen resolution • Link The Steam version supports custom resolutions in the launcher. Use these steps for non-Steam versions. Set resolution and FOV in config.cfg[6] If the game is showing the launcher on startup, check the box to skip it then run the game and exit. Go to <path-to-game>\duke\base Edit config.cfg Change uset r_mode to the resolution you want. Add the line uset g_cam_fov "90" with the horizontal FOV you want (default is 50). Save your changes and close the file. Make the file read-only (this prevents the FOV line being removed when you exit the game). Notes The HUD and all other 2D elements are stretched from 4:3. Kondorito Posted January 7, 2019 Posted January 7, 2019 Ok, I found something incredible that allowed me to install a lot of old games in Windows 10 64bit natively! The issue with these games is that they are actually 32bit, but their damn installer was in 16bit, not letting me do anything, so following the steps from the below page, I modified their installation process and voilá! https://reactos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=10988 Highly recommended if you have some Win9X games that the installer is giving you problems, and you don't want to install a whole VM for them.

Kondorito Posted January 29, 2019 Posted January 29, 2019 I will be checking Hong Kong Massacre, looks fast, sexy and awesome.
Honosuseri Posted January 30, 2019 Posted January 30, 2019 Can't believe this hasn't been mentioned yet BUT I've been playing Tetris for the NES as part of the HyperScore challenge. Thank you to Lucky1 for arranging it. Entries for posting your best score close "soon" but there's still time to try and knock me from the top spot. I've also returned to Resident Evil 2, comparing the different versions between systems. Wanting to have the game fresh in my mind, before I play the newly released remake. Drnick Posted February 2, 2019 Posted February 2, 2019 That was some of the most amazing tetris playing I have ever seen. That was a proper underdog story. He only wanted to qualify and he went and won it
Aorin Posted March 13, 2019 Author Posted March 13, 2019 Random screenshots of some games I've been playing, also, almost finishing AC Odyssey. Aorin
Kondorito Posted March 14, 2019 Posted March 14, 2019 @Aorin nice! I know some of them but not all. Do you mind sharing their names? I would like to check some of those
Aorin Posted March 14, 2019 Author Posted March 14, 2019 Some you may not know the names are: Legend of Oasis/Story of Thor 2 (Saturn) Shining Force 3 - Scenario 2 (Saturn) Hokuto no Ken (Mark III), released outside Asia as Black Belt (SMS) Aorin
