dmark468 Posted April 2 Posted April 2 50 minutes ago, jgkings said: Hello, I'm not a native English speaker, so my writing might not be perfect. In any case, you can right-click and select "Translate" if needed; it's not complicated. Regarding my previous response, I meant that before installing the mentioned update, HyperSpin wasn’t working. After installing it, it worked for a few days, but then suddenly stopped working. I decided to uninstall the update, and after doing so, HyperSpin started working again. So far, that has been the definitive solution. However, I will continue testing future updates to see if anything changes. I figured, but the thing is that translating added another layer of uncertainty about what you wrote. Google or whatever you use can easily screw up the meaning, so I just wanted your English take on this. Thanks!
rik81 Posted April 2 Posted April 2 Heard a report that the lastest update hyperspin started working again? Anybody confirm this is true? Not working on my side.
jesfknkrys Posted April 2 Posted April 2 I'm just updated my laptop from Windows 10 to Windows 11(24h2). Hyperspin was running fine on Windows 11(24h2) until it took update (KB5053598). I believe there will be a lot more updates to be blocked. I'm assuming Windows 11 is requiring a digital signature from Hyperspin to run. Problematic update(s) on Windows 11(24h2) Uninstall the below update(s): KB5053598 KB5053656 Installed the Microsoft Show or Hide Updates Troubleshooter(link below) and hide the updates to avoid auto installation. https://download.microsoft.com/download/f/2/2/f22d5fdb-59cd-4275-8c95-1be17bf70b21/wushowhide.diagcab 3
jesfknkrys Posted April 8 Posted April 8 @Agard Windows 11 is working as long as you don't intsatll the above mentioned updates.
Agard Posted April 8 Posted April 8 @jesfknkrys Someone said a clean install of windows 11 / pro that you have to update everything first then start HyperSpin is that still true ? if not do you know the exact copy of windows 11 to install e.g. Windows 11 Pro 23H2 Build 22631.3296
jesfknkrys Posted April 8 Posted April 8 I will try updating all latest Windows 11 and report back tomorrow 2
jesfknkrys Posted April 9 Posted April 9 I just tested Windows 11 again. Here is the outcome Windows 11 23h2 - WORKING Windows 11 24h2 - WORKING, minus the updates I mentioned above. Dime333 Posted yesterday at 10:13 AM Posted yesterday at 10:13 AM I can only see the update KB5053656. Update KB5053598 is nowhere to be found. Windows is up to date. Also, non of the updates show up when i click uninstall updates. Am I fucked?
jesfknkrys Posted yesterday at 12:22 PM Posted yesterday at 12:22 PM They should be at the bottom where it says “update history” .I wouldn’t worry about it if Hyperspin is working.
Dime333 Posted yesterday at 01:53 PM Posted yesterday at 01:53 PM The bottom screenshot is the update history and Hyperspin is not working. None of the two updates show up there. I downloaded Windows 11 from Microsoft's Web page. The update is probably already in that version, so I guess I'm fucked. I remember there was an older fix before to make Hyperspin work with Windows 11. I don't need that now, do I?
jesfknkrys Posted yesterday at 02:13 PM Posted yesterday at 02:13 PM There should be a “Go Back” feature in settings to revert back to previous installation. Hopefully that works for you. I’ll try fresh reinstall of windows 11 later this week to see if I have the same issues.
jesfknkrys Posted 58 minutes ago Posted 58 minutes ago @Dime333 I just downloaded the latest Windows11 ISO and performed an upgrade. It installed build Windows11 Build 26100.1742. It installed update "KB5055523" which prevented Hyperspin from loading. I uninstalled the update, emptied the "Software Distribution" folder under "c:\Windows and blocked the update from updating in the future using wushowhide.diagcab from link above in previous comment.
Agard Posted 33 minutes ago Posted 33 minutes ago Does HyperSpin work in this version anyone know ? Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC
