floatingyeti Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 To celebrate my personal milestone of setting up my 100th system in Hyperspin, I chose perhaps the most essential system of all time! That of course is the Konix Multi-system! After year of uploading crap system setups I am proud to deliver this gem. But I need your help HyperPals! My module doesn't launch the game fullscreen. Can someone make me a module to enjoy this system in its true fullscreen splendor?

dougan78 Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 Did it take you long to make all the game wheels? ; ) interesting story behind that one. Thank you for sharing! Learn something new everyday.
zerojay Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 I'll take a look a bit later tonight and see what I can come up with.
gigapig Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 This is pretty interesting, a system that never made the light of day, designed in Wales; so of course Jeff Minter had to be involved.
floatingyeti Posted December 31, 2014 Author Posted December 31, 2014 yeah even though it barely has a playable game, it is too much of an emulation oddity to overlook.
Fromlostdays Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 Dude, I appreciate all the work you do, and so you know that it is with much respect that I say... what the fuck is a konix?! KK, looked it up, must have. And I swear to God I'm going to turn into a hipster the next time someone else is sitting with me in front of Hyperspin and be like "Bro, do you even konix?!" "It's obscure, you probably never heard of it." "Everyone in the emulation scene plays it." "You can't find this stuff just anywhere, you need to know where to look." "Here's a link to my Konix blog, you should check it out. It'll get you up to speed." "I'm starting a kickstarter to bring this back." "Konix sounds better on vinyl." ok I'm done. Walter:beerglass:
craiganderson Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 hang a konix from your beard..... http://craigandersonthemes.weebly.com/
zerojay Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 You never mentioned what emulator you are using for this system for me to make a module with.
djvj Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 This emu doesn't support fullscreen and why the devs force a huge black border all around the game window is beyond me, but makes it impossible to get the game screen bigger than the maximised window size. http://www.konixmultisystem.co.uk/index.php?id=emulator "Computer games don't affect kids; I mean if Pac-Man affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music."RocketLauncher's Official Home If you appreciate my work:My Apps:Window LoggerIdle Volume AdjusterExplorerRestorerRom Folder CleanerModule UpdaterMy Guides:How To Mod Guncons with Aimtrak
floatingyeti Posted January 1, 2015 Author Posted January 1, 2015 I have virtually no module making knowledge. How can force the slipstream window to launch in a larger window? I know the window can be manually resized once the game is launched.
Fromlostdays Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 I have no real knowledge either, but I beat my head up against Bizhawk before DJVJ fixed it (and BizHawk devs fixed it) and the best I could do was use the WinMaximize (Command?) to have the emu launch with the window maximized. If the emu doesn't support fullscreen at all, you can't have ahk quickly simulate a keystroke to fullscreen it, so it may be a lost cause. Edit: its 3am on New Years and I'm quite inebriated, I haven't tried to set this up yet, so ignore me if I'm way off base. Edit edit: bro I don't even konix yet and there's no excuse for that. To answer your question about full screen, the emulator is still technically quite new, the developer has been concentrating on emulating the system and getting any demos and test programs we find to run first before worrying about the UI/UX aspects of the emulator. I will pester him to see if he's in the mood to get scaling and full screen added - are there any other command line options that are useful for Hyperspin? I guess the ability to remap controls would be useful? We (well, Lee - the emulator programmer) have also emulated the Konix version of Last Ninja 2 that we were gifted by an ex ATD developer. This is running, but we are not able to release it until we have permission from the copyright owner. We also have the Head Invaders demo playable, and Lee is working on emulating RoboCod which was on the later (also non released) version of the Konix. Oh, And BTW - Yes, I do have a beard, and I do Konix! Regards, Mark.
djvj Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 Hi mqark, basically the more CLI, the better. You can never have too much. What's important for RocketLauncher is the ability to stretch the emulator window freely and not be constrained to set resolution sizes. Setting fullscreen on CLI would be great as well. If you need to get in touch with me, you can send me a pm or post over on www.rlauncher.com. mqarkcambie Posted May 19, 2015 Posted May 19, 2015 Ummm, wow - Hyperspin is a bit of a complex beast when you start trying to build something from disperate sources... This module doesn't seem to play nice with hyperspin133 and at the moment, I'm not fully across how to convert it. I've got a bunch of built setups, but they all seem to have a bunch of special (non-cosmetically compatible) wheel sets. Looks like I'll just create a good stable collection of emulators first, get them all running nicely, then try to get them into hyperspin. I know this is stuff for a support thread maybe, but just wanted to say I don't know of a hyperspin build that this module will just drop into - any tips? [edit] OK - forget all this noob stuff, I'll get it worked out, at the moment, I'm just overwhelming myself with the different options of trying to manage loads of emulators and starting from a point where there have already been several versions of Hyperspin and all the associated launchers etc.
gamesmame Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 Have any release from your system konixmultisystem?? wheels videos or ahk with fullscreen?? Thanks!
