zoltar420 Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 Cool! Ty Deadly. Hypersync is going to come in handy too
RidicRick Posted November 7, 2013 Author Posted November 7, 2013 Had a custom cut plexi control panel overlay made to put over my control panel graphic. Turned out pretty nice and much more professional looking. If anyone wants one let me know.. taking preorders. $55 plus shipping for each plexi overlay (graphic not included, its just the plexi overlay). Works with Fix it Felix only. If you need some made for Donkey Kong or other Nintendo cabs let me know. Once I get enough preorders I will have them made and shipped out ASAP. thanks..
tjpietro Posted November 7, 2013 Posted November 7, 2013 Rick, For install, do we just drill in the holes and apply? Tim
RidicRick Posted November 8, 2013 Author Posted November 8, 2013 The holes are already in the plexi so if you can use those as templates for the holes in the wood. Screw holes, button holes, and joystick hole.
Markfrizb Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Anybody have a rom burner? =) Do you have the FiFjr rom? I can burn it for you. Mark my SNES project:

SORHP Posted November 28, 2013 Posted November 28, 2013 Dude, I'll throw that in my fight machine if there is a level of the fifjr building made for it, that would be dope My Arcade Machines...
Gametris Posted January 2, 2014 Posted January 2, 2014 If anyone can hook me up with some artwork I would greatly appreciate it. My wife told me I could build a cab but it has to look like FiFjr, no complaints because WiR is my favorite Disney movie. I'm really excited to get started! Thanks email/dropbox [email protected]
XenoDragon Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 Hello, I'm at the planning stages of building a fix it felix cab. Can anyone help me with the complete graphic files?
pinballsmith Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 I manged to pick up a real Disney-made machine and I'm having a friend help in recreating the artwork true to the original. Here's a sample of the artwork package he did, but he's still tweaking a few things.
SORHP Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 Those look great! When you are finished, can you upload the files to the FTP? I'm sure many here would thank you My Arcade Machines...
RidicRick Posted February 2, 2014 Author Posted February 2, 2014 Looks like the only difference is the color change and maybe a few vector lines am I corret? And the little bezel instruction decal I made needs to be updated, its not really correct on how the game plays. I made it before we really started playing the game and didnt know much about the controls and rules yet. And for everyone who wants the files via dropbox sorry I am no longer sharing them, not because I don't want to but because I am staying away from any troubles from Disney.
SORHP Posted February 2, 2014 Posted February 2, 2014 I love the ridic version! I have it on my cab and it's beautiful My Arcade Machines...
Pharmtech78 Posted February 3, 2014 Posted February 3, 2014 Nice cab man, love the artwork and you showed me an easier way to apply adhesive media. Thanks!! I'd love to get the artwork set, here's my dropbox email: [email protected] Edit: Sorry i missed your post that you're not sharing the art set anymore.
RidicRick Posted February 6, 2014 Author Posted February 6, 2014 Check out my latest work I did today. I had a acrylic control panel overlay made and I didnt want the decal on the outside but I wanted it to appear screen printed like the original (if there was one) would have been. So here is what I did. Enjoy. Also, I will be doing my marquee and bezel this same way. First I printed the control panel overlay on CLEAR vinyl. My printer does NOT print white so everything white will be transparent. Here is the printed overlay next to the acrylic panel I had someone CNC for me. The overlay print is printed in reverse. Since the overlay is printed in reverse I install the print on the back side of the acrylic overlay. Here is what the print looks like installed. Pretty cool! and translucent! It needs the white for the background yet. I now used my translucent white vinyl and cut out a template (reversed) to install on the backside over the print. This makes it white and makes it almost look screen printed. I didnt have to use translucent vinyl (used for marquees) but its the only vinyl I have that has a white adhesive side. Here is the finished product. Amazing! Looks just like it really would have back in the early 80s when it was brand new.
urk Posted February 7, 2014 Posted February 7, 2014 I'm in awe of this build. I'm in Iowa and get over to Cedar Falls occasionally (UNI grad). Would love to see this in person sometime. My Hyper Surfer Build - Thread Here
JHartz601 Posted March 31, 2014 Posted March 31, 2014 ok, so I've read he entirety of this thread and was wondering if there was still a way to get ahold of the graphics or vinyls for this. tried to PM RidicRick and got an error b/c your inbox was full. I am in the dead center of the planning stages for building this cabinet, and would love to hear any suggestions. I'm going off of DK cabinet blueprints I got from Jakobud. I've got a version of FIFJ downloaded to my laptop, up and running, and plan to get it onto another computer I have sitting aside at my dad's house. I've got a monitor set aside, and am working on saving the funds to get all the pieces together. any replies are greatly appreciated!
