The HyperSpin 2 early access beta is here!

We’re starting the first public testing phase with Platinum Members to keep the scope manageable while we test the current feature set and begin to add more. In the future, we’ll provide a version for basic members as well.  On behalf of the entire HyperSpin team, we look forward to another exciting adventure with our community.

So I downloaded a few sets at PD

The Sega CD and Panasonic 3do

I having a pain trying to get these to load in retroarch

or fusion or fourdo.

I feel like I just end up downloading and downloading useless files.

Is there a way to covert these? Or get these running?

Thanks.

Have you tried the Hyperspin Ready sets on PD instead of just random stuff?

If you've tried fusion, I suppose you've tried mounting the game in Daemon Tools beforehand, right?

I don't remember having a particular problem with Clone CD images...

I think some of the HyperSpin ready sets where prior to people embracing RetroArch and the are a few games that are in an unsupported format.

Which games from the Sega CD set are CCD? CCD is not a format supported by RA so if you can't find an alternative you will have to set up an alternative emulator (fusion) for those games? All the ones I opened where bin and cue, so they work fine in RA.

Panasonic 3DO has a known issue with the HyperSpin ready set and RetroArch, basically you can't use it. The FourDO core only supports iso files so you will need the TOSEC 3DO ISO set @ 149gb. There are a few games in that set which are missing I think; and I'm unsure if they can be converted, someone mentioned using MagicISO. Your other alternative is to use the FOURDO emulator instead.

I don't think fusion or fourdo use ccd either. I will try again.

No, but with those emulators you would use Daemon Tools lite to mount the ccd image. As you probably know you can't use DT Lite with RetroArch, the developers have steered clear of that.

Its been a while. But I remember, 4doo or whatever its called had no problem running with those versions. Its also a very nice emu too and very simple to get going. Fusion... yeah, have to mount in DT lite, but it does work well... after a good bit of configuring ;)

So Ultraiso seems to be doing great and fast conversions to bin/cue. Just wish it did a batch conversion.

You have managed to convert 3DO files? I tried UltraISO, PowerISO and MagicISO and none of them would open 3DO files.

So far just Sega CD. I was gonna try 3do after.

So far the Sega CD convert from cdd/img to cue/bin with no problems. I've been checking the sound on all games as well.

Is it just a few Sega CD games you need to convert or the whole set?

If just a few could you name at least one, so I can double check my own. Thanks.

whenever you convert and of the PD .ccd/.img using UltraISO it spits out

FILE "Sonic CD (USA).bin" BINARY
 TRACK 01 MODE1/2352
   INDEX 01 00:00:00

No music. incorrect .cue track listings.

If I tweak the retroarch.ahk and add .img and I can load the Clone CD .img file fine and it plays but of course no music.

I've just found that my zips are ccd/img and will not run in fusion even if I pre-mount in DT lite first. Has anyone found a solution? Do I have to convert first ? What progs work best...I've got to do the whole set!

UltraIso

Strange but tried poweriso to turn them into ISO and also bin cue but neither would run in fusion whether directly or from HS. I'm downloading a different set which is HyperSpin ready....hopefully it will work.
