There's a 25 inch LG model as well, although even this may be overkill (price and size) for my purposes when I finally get around to building a cab.

Do you mean, what is the "standard" cab marquee size?

Yes that is what I was getting at, but I suppose that's a difficult size to find in LCD form, at least cheaply.

I have not been able to get it working, I'm probably the only one.

I have the screens set to extend, and drag Hypermarquee into the 2nd monitor.

I think I have set it up as per the guide, but I only get default marquee image which is Burger Time. When running a game nothing happens, apart from the game briefly flashes up, but starts on the main screen as normal.

Hi,

First, I am glad to see you testing HyperMarquee, thanks! I think I can help you ;)

1. I can see that you are not using the most recent version. It is recommended to use version 0.3.5, much better (see first page of the thread for download).

2. HyperMarquee is event base, how do you launch HyperMarquee once configured? For testing, use a .ahk script. (AHK code sample is provided with download). If you launch HyperMarquee without specifying .exe parameters, it will not load all the needed config. The system needs to know the current system and the current game... (you probably have done that)

3. If you done all this, they is a possibility that a comma ',' in the script required a leading blank space at one point.

4. please sent me your AHK launch script, I can have a look.

Here is an example; This is a script that works for version 0.3.5. See the space after the rom name "btime". This is very important... Not obvious I most admitted, this is AHK...

Run, Hyper Marquee.exe false MAME-Marquee_Image "btime" ,,,ImagePID

Let me know, :)

NB: "System Image Folder" is for emulator images. Leave it blank and it will use the default emulator images provided with the package...

I can't seem to get "digital text or the timer" to have text outline or text glow. Is there something I need to check?

Everything else in the update is working beautifully. Thanks!

Sure, can you send me your output window (for the time elapsed) and your config file? For now, I can't replicate the error from what I see from your screenshot.

PS: Your outline thickness is very high for this size of font. Try thickness =1 and text effect = outlined font. Send me a screenshot of the output please.

I sent you a PM with my settings. The time elapsed font is working fine now, I changed my settings after your last post. I'm only having problems with the digital text font outline. thanks

For now, text animation and text decoration can not work together. I will work on this in some relatively near future.

So,

- User Text File = animation without special text effect.

- Game Info/HyperList = Text Effect without animation.

Thanks so much for this, it's been working great for me!

Just a quick question as I play with this. My marquee files are in both .jpg and .png formats, and I'm having trouble having the image marquee display a jpg if I have the artwork file set to [gamename].png, and vice versa. I thought I read somewhere it would look for .jpeg or .jpg if the original file name wasn't found, but I keep getting the default marquee.

Should I just convert all my art to one format, or am I missing something?

You are right, I ran some tests on this, and it wasn't working properly. The bug is now fixed.

Images are now file extension insensitive as intended initially. The system could be slower if it doesn't found the image the first time, I haven't made performance test.

Please test this new version and please let me know. (you can use the given link from the first post of this thread. New Beta Version 3.5.3)

Ok, I have fix this. I ran some tests and the application is now back and running fine.

Can someone can do some more test and let me know?

Can’t wait to try this out. I have been using MAMEHooker to accomplish this, using a 7 inch screen (originally designed as an aftermarket rearview camera system) that was to be integrated into a static marquee. Have any of you actually put the AOC screen listed in this thread in a cabinet? I’m ready to jump in at under $400 but since the connections are built into the stand and not the case, I’m worried about it fitting. I’m fine with de-case-ing it, but wanted to see if anyone has given it a go as of yet.

Beta Version 3.5.5 is now available for download. 1 major bug fixes - (update Recommended).

Testers are invited to provide their feedback. I may not bring improvements until this version is stated stable.

Thank you for testing HyperMarquee! To display your Marquee artwork, simply use the field [filename] within your path and file extension which represents the game file name you would like to display. Use the .ahk script file for testing. Please note that I just updated the instructions too.

Hi Antos, I think I followed the directions but the marquee never changes. when I launch a game a bunch of windows open but the marquee does not change. I am using the Mame.ahk you supplied. Thanks!

Please send me your config file stored in the settings folder, your .ahk file and a screenshot of the artwork tab (or artwork path that you used). I will help you.
