maybe you can help with a multi-monitor issue I have. On my monitor 1 I have HS and all the related stuff. On monitor 2 I only have Hypermarquee.

My hyper marquee is working great with all systems in HS, next to EDS. A few days ago I configured TypeX and on vertical games, like Raiden, the launcher rotates my desktop 270º to fix the vertical in right position but it rotates monitor 1 and monitor 2.... so my hyper marquee layer is turned too. 

I don't know how to prevent monitor 2 to be rotated.

not easy to fix I'm afraid.

I don't think so. I find only rotate variable but not monitor.

I have some extra news. For my previous runs I try xb_loader or Game loader all rh. Game loader all rh works fine with horizontal games but the problem are vertical ones, as I wrote. 

With TypeXtra its possible to rotate only 1 monitor (using irotate); you can turn off secondary monitor too, if you want. Works great with vertical games and my marquee monitor. Its a excellent software.

So thats all? no :-(

With TypeXtra there is a problem with horizontal games. When loader runs game and change my desktop resolution (from 1920x1200 to whatever) part of my desktop move to the secondary monitor so my hyper marquee window move too.

Tomorrow more tests. Maybe I use TypeXtra for vertical ones and Gameloader all rh for horizontal. Lets see.

So my Usersettings must have got corrupted which is what it said in my error.log , SO I reinstalled .82 EDS and I got everything running again. However ,I have multiple hypermarquee running at the same time. Any ideas?

Check CBR on your HM row.

hey man, thanks for the great video, i watched four times to be sure i was getting it all.

i followed exactly (changing directories to mind of course) but it’s not working.

i am using rocketlauncher which is probably the issue.

any thoughts on getting it to work with rocketlauncher?

I'm using rocketlauncher too, but that shouldn't have any effect on it. Sorry. Not sure what the problem is.

oh boy, this is good bb to make me look stupid.

i had my marquee named “MAME-Image” and in HM, i was calling “MANE-Images” with an ‘s’

there were a few other things but that was the main issue.

glad it happened though, i got to chat with Antos, such a gentleman and nice guy.

That the right one for transition. Now I am very visual person. Please provide more more info for me to help.

- Make sure the transition is between 2 available images.

But you are right, many transition use fade in/out with some shaders effects applied to one of them.

I am starting to have a strange issue.  everything is working fine except when I exit a game back to HS.  when I exit HS comes up with it is paused, not in focus,

 

I am having to click on HS for it to be the in focus app.  any thoughts?

I'd like to pose an idea. I'm not sure if anyone else has tried doing this yet. In my setup, I have a standard widescreen monitor as my marquee. The bottom half is dedicated to showing just the marquee images for whatever game is being played. The top half is being used as an "advertising space", like a billboard...images that are themed to my cabinet. So far, I've been able to have randomized images switch out every 20 seconds on the top half, and all is working well.

But, I had a thought.

What if, on the top half, you could do the same thing...except this time have random videos, and cycle through them like you do with pictures???

So far...I've been able to get it to pick a random video to show, but I can not get it to pick the next random video after the first one plays. Also, the cycle counter I had used for the pictures will go for a maximum of 20 seconds before it would pick another picture to show. If I try this with the videos, after 20 seconds...it does attempt to pick another video, even if the first one is still playing. At that point, EDS errors out and stops.

So...is there a way to have random videos play in succession (after one ends, the next begins)...without having to use the cycle timer?

Sevenseal had mentioned that this is already possible, but I've not found where that configuration is.

You need multiple setup of the vlc that is used with hypermaquee. One as for general use... Another vlc setup with the setting you want with it and have that unique hypermaquee setting.

So, ok...I have setup two instances of VLC like you said. But I'm not understanding what settings to change with the second VLC. I tried to enable "looping" in VLC...but still only one video played.

Can you give me a little more detail on the setup for VLC to make this work correctly, please?

Place shuffle, repeat and volume level are set and saved on vlc

On hm make sure you are using random file wildcard

I did as you suggested, but I'm still only getting one random video playing and then nothing afterwards. I've included a screen capture of the two setting in VLC that were changed (highlighted in yellow).

Can you verify these are correct?
