or8ital Posted July 28, 2013 Author Posted July 28, 2013 Yep, the debug.log and verbosity are set. I'll have to take a closer look at the logs and time stamping like you suggest on Wednesday, won't have time until then. Wish I didn't have to wait that long, I'm anxious to get this working.Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2 I think I might know what is going on. I hadn't reloaded HSHelper when I tested before. I read the hyperspin setting file for the path to ledblinky and look there for the file. Obviously that's different when you use hyperspeech. Looking at how to handle this. gooch Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 set your settings like this:LogFile=d:\hyperspin\hyperspeech\debug.log Verbose=1 That did it, thanks! Must've needed the full path. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2

or8ital Posted July 29, 2013 Author Posted July 29, 2013 Couldn't get the emulator to work outside HL. Missing some gpu plug in and not sure what to do from there. Do you have a screenshot of the emulator you can provide? Thanks. Info on HyperspinHelper Software: http://hyperspinhelper.wordpress.com. niftey Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 Great app thanks for all the work you have put in. If possible could I have some help please. All the wheels show up on my top monitor however when I select the game it plays on the screen and the wheel image disappears. This only happens in MAME every other emulator is fine and the wheel image stays on the top screen and I am able to play the game on the other. I have a feeling it is something to do with my MAME.ini but I don't feel confident enough to amend it. Thanks EDIT Got it working by deleting the MAME.ini
connorsdad Posted July 31, 2013 Posted July 31, 2013 Why would your mame ini cause this to happen ? I am interested as I sometimes have the image disappearing on some systems. Sent from Amstrad CPC464
or8ital Posted July 31, 2013 Author Posted July 31, 2013 I will have to look at that file but the resolution of the emulator may be set in there. Most issues with windows moving and being blank seem to be from resolution mismatches. Info on HyperspinHelper Software: http://hyperspinhelper.wordpress.com. Most issues with windows moving and being blank seem to be from resolution mismatches. I've also noticed that changing emulators sometimes fixes the blank screen issue too. Like for example the Atari 2600 doesn't work unless I use Stella (3.80). Side note - you've got this one marked as Not Working on your blog page, it works for me. Let me know if there's anything I can provide so you can mark this as Working. I'm going to try the screen resolution change you suggested for a few that aren't working for me tonight (like the N64). I'll let you know.

connorsdad Posted August 3, 2013 Posted August 3, 2013 Definitely having issues with this new version, take a look at this video (sorry about the size) : https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/7794786/2013-08-03%2011.34.30.mp4 As you can see it seems to push the image to the right but also overlap Has anybody got a copy of the old version they could send me please?

Its something outside HSH doing the overlap. Couple of questions: - In your settings.ini file is ChangeMarqueeOnWheelChange set to true or false? (false would act just like the old version, same code path) - In your settings.ini file is ShowBezelForHyperspinScreen set to true or false? I find that things work a lot better if HyperSpin is not setup to run full screen and you let HSH move the resize / move the windows. or8ital Posted August 3, 2013 Author Posted August 3, 2013 that said, not sure how it works on a non-widescreen main monitor. It should work fine but it perhaps may not. gooch Posted August 4, 2013 Posted August 4, 2013 Is there something I can adjust on my setup to make HSH a bit more responsive? If I scroll through the wheel slowly HSH always works well, but if navigate too quickly between wheels and games it misses switching the marquee. Other than that, it's working great.
or8ital Posted August 4, 2013 Author Posted August 4, 2013 No. I believe it's the call to ledblinky from HS that's unreliable. Info on HyperspinHelper Software: http://hyperspinhelper.wordpress.com. gooch Posted August 5, 2013 Posted August 5, 2013 No. I believe it's the call to ledblinky from HS that's unreliable. I'm thinking that if the call itself were unreliable my LED buttons and HyperSpeech would also have problems, both of which switch properly more often and no matter how fast I navigate. I'm curious what HyperSpeech triggers off, I don't have to use verbose logging for that. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk 2
or8ital Posted August 5, 2013 Author Posted August 5, 2013 Hyperspeech gets renamed and uses the command line arguments that hyperspin sends to work. It then in turn makes those same calls to the real ledblinky. It's unreliable in the order it gets triggered relative to when it writes to the file. Since ledblinky and hyperspin both get called directly it can work more reliably. I wonder if the debug file for hyperspin would work more reliably but really don't have the interest in trying any time soon. Want to focus on actually building a machine to use. :-) Info on HyperspinHelper Software: http://hyperspinhelper.wordpress.com. gooch Posted August 6, 2013 Posted August 6, 2013 I see, now I understand. Thanks for explaining. I still can't believe you don't have a cabinet and you wrote this.
