newoski Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 Nevermind. I totally forgot about AHK. This one will use Default MESS/MAME layout for the system and then users will need to use AHK remaps to match the per game inputs. Not perfect, but only way that works. Durrrrr. Looks like RCA Studio II is broken at the moment in MESS/MAME.
newoski Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 Alrighty, in an effort to get this into people's hands as quickly as possible, I've decided to release it with the current systems. I'll add more, as we figure out the best way to map some of these other systems. With that said, here's the full list of systems that have been added. scoodidabop Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 Awesome! Good going, newoski! Now we gotta complete that pesky mame list.
newoski Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 Awesome! Good going, newoski![emoji106] Now we gotta complete that pesky mame list. Yup! I'll post about crowd sourcing data soon. Sent from my HTC6535LVW using Tapatalk
spotUP Posted February 25, 2016 Posted February 25, 2016 I don't think people realise the shitloads of work newoski put into this. He sure does pay attention to detail. He has had me researching stuff over the evenings for some weeks now. MAME will need some attention still, but with some more people onboard we should be able to do it! Come on people!
newoski Posted March 2, 2016 Posted March 2, 2016 Consoles are all tested and final. Starting to test the per game now...
newoski Posted March 4, 2016 Posted March 4, 2016 Per game are tested and final. Testing computer systems next. Then creating documentation/tutorial video and should be ready for prime time.
zillion23 Posted March 4, 2016 Posted March 4, 2016 Great news...my brand new led buttons are going to be happy!
newoski Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 Thanks to SpotUp, the computer systems are now tested and validated. I'll be traveling for the next few days. Once I get back, I'll start creating a tutorial video and written guide and then release.

Rick Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 Hello all, where do I download the latest files from?
newoski Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 Hello all, where do I download the latest files from?Beta testing is done. I'm making final revisions and putting together usage instructions. Hope to have it released this month.Sent from my HTC6535LVW using Tapatalk
newoski Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 Sorry for the disappearing act. Just purchased my first house and the move in is taking longer than anticipated. Hope to be back to work on RocketBlinky very soon. Fingers crossed it'll be ready by end of month...
travissavard Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 All I have to to say is Thank You so much for all the hard work, It is greatly Appreciated. I have been following this thread because, I have been waiting a long time for this. I am glad that I found this and I hope that after you complete this that it gets put in the download section. My system will finally be complete. I also have the servo stick installed in my system and it makes such a different gaming experience when the joystick automatically changes from 4 to 8 way, and then the icing on the cake is that the buttons light up and let you know what they are for. This contribution will change the gaming world forever. This allows for a way better experience all the way around. Thank You...Thank You... Thank You...
spotUP Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 What's the deal with 4 or 8 way? Is the feeling in a 4 way stick much different?
newoski Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 What's the deal with 4 or 8 way? Is the feeling in a 4 way stick much different? In a word, yes. It's night and day when playing classics like Pac-Man or Donkey Kong. I LOVE my ServoStiks
travissavard Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 Kind of off the topic here. If you have ever tried to play a 4 way game with an 8 way joystick it just is not the same. An example would be playing Pac-Man with an 8 way joystick. There is a loss of control when moving around the corners. The LedBlinky software automatically changes the joystick from 4-8 way on the fly, through the use of a servo stick. The joystick needs to be told this through the led blinky software which has only really been setup for MAME.(which has never been close to being completed for years now) What Newoski and the team have done is allow us to transition this over into other platforms which has never been done because it takes so long to complete. Not to mention that it also allows the buttons to speak and blink the controls at the start of the game and remain on during game play until another game has been chosen. LedBlinky is great software, but Newoski and the team have just made it a 1000 times better and on top of all that it will be able to to updated with more systems. This is a huge deal It has just made LEDBLINKY way better, and the gaming experience too. It is so nice to be able to start a game that you have not played for a long time, which you do not remember what all the buttons and controls are, and it tells you what you need to know to play the game. Make the experience way nicer in my opinion. Just my thoughts
MildAnti Posted March 22, 2016 Author Posted March 22, 2016 Wow i would of never thought my question would turn into this, great f'n work newoski http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/topic/2084-digital-dreams-carbon-fibre-covered
newoski Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 Wow i would of never thought my question would turn into this, great f'n work newoski Haha, thanks! I spent a lot of time looking around for something similar. This thread was the closest I found. Never really meant to hijack the thread, or even to take on something this massive, but one thing lead to another...
Rick Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 Thank you all for the great work. I'm currently building a Arcade machine with LED buttons and joysticks. Can't wait.
travissavard Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 If you need anyone to try out the video and software for a spin. I can give it a shot. Might be able to give an outsiders take on it. Not to mention I cant wait to try it. I know with other projects that I have done, its easy to assume that everyone understands what you are explaining, because your so involved with the project. I also have single color led's, as discusses in earlier threads. Let me know Newoski.
sevenseal Posted March 22, 2016 Posted March 22, 2016 well just to inform back still in good shape even with the recent updates
travissavard Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 Great to hear so when could we possible be able to try it out? Will it be within this thread or in a different location? Thanks Again.
