MildAnti Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 So I was going thru the mame list and noticed a lot of games don't have colors I was just wondering if someone has filled in the blanks or have a custom colors.ini? http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/topic/2084-digital-dreams-carbon-fibre-covered
Jumpstile Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 That would be cool... Also an updated controls.ini would be great! - J* How to rebuild your MAME ROM set using CLRMAMEPRO - Walkthrough HERE!
connorsdad Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 I have a custom one which may help you out, it's far from complete but I don't use the full mame catalogue, I have around 200 favourites on my wheel. I will paste here later.
connorsdad Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 Sorry guys, just boot my cab up and I'll post mine. EDIT: Here try this, some things are set up for my cab so you may need to change things. https://www.dropbox.com/s/534ibvusce5fo3a/Colors.ini?dl=0 https://www.dropbox.com/s/r8r6yap3n7qkjvw/controls.ini?dl=0
ninja2bceen Posted June 13, 2015 Posted June 13, 2015 Can you add these to the download page? (Tapatalk) Advance the cause to 100%. http://hyperbase.hyperspin-fe.com/ Planet Geekdom, Subscribe for Tutorials! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdcby-s2GwriaOHGmVC2vGA?sub_confirmation=1&app=desktop
connorsdad Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 I would suggest that it needs to be completed really before it makes the download section.
Fursphere Posted June 30, 2015 Posted June 30, 2015 It would be really cool if there was a way to source this so the community could all contribute to a central repository and compile the whole list. Like a web page or something that you could upload your copy of the two files and it would consolidate the settings into a central repository.
Guest Posted July 14, 2015 Posted July 14, 2015 Sorry guys, just boot my cab up and I'll post mine. This will help me to setup my LEDBlinky !
nicksplace Posted August 5, 2015 Posted August 5, 2015 the control file and color file where do i paste these to? Also where do i find the mame_cfg file? Can not find it
Trnzaddict Posted August 6, 2015 Posted August 6, 2015 Too bad ledblinky didn't save manual color assignments to colors.ini, In the past 3 years I added like hundreds of game titles with correct colors according to google research, including Atomiswave, Sega Naomi, Type X, Model 2, Model 3. It saves them to controls.xml which is custom to each persons setup and would not work at all if posted. I am......Machine

newoski Posted November 5, 2015 Posted November 5, 2015 Too bad ledblinky didn't save manual color assignments to colors.ini, In the past 3 years I added like hundreds of game titles with correct colors according to google research, including Atomiswave, Sega Naomi, Type X, Model 2, Model 3. It saves them to controls.xml which is custom to each persons setup and would not work at all if posted. Would youl mind sharing your file, anyway? Yes, it wouldn't help newbs, but for those of us that understand that data, it would save a LOT of time. Pretty please? ( :
Jagalives Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Could a public Google Docs page work? A spreadsheet would seem to work best.
bob.records Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Great idea, I've started work on an app which comparesthe colors.txt to the HS mame xml. This will make adding colors easy via drop downs and will hopefully update the txt file. But im not the quickest or experenced programmer so might take me a few weekends... Looking at cabinet pictures and control pannels from emu movies Im sure we will find a good % of titles. my list exluded casin/mahong/driving/gun as these are not priority. From my list I have other columns witjh rom name and manufacturer so preadsheet best, just easier to copy a list into a post. If we get enough people (5+) to either choose a letter or maunfacturer it wont take long todo.

scoodidabop Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Pretty, pretty please? controls.xml also contains all the other home system's setups. For each of them I did a generic configuration did basically a 6 button generic setup on Atomiswave, Naomi, TTX, Model 2/3 etc. Those various arcade hardwares have plenty of different games that need their own configs and AFAIK there's no online source for their completed programming yet. Here's what I did on a couple home consoles. I just did a Wii and WiiWare lighting setup on my cab newly competed cab too; EDIT: count me in if we're gonna start updating colors.ini together. I'd be happy to help!

bob.records Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 Sadly not, i started to write something, it read the colors ini but i was struggling reading the hs xml files, im still learning lol. My thinking turned to how we can find out the colors so i started downloading control pannel packs for mame, hopefully they have model 2,3 naomi and need to look in the controls.ini might be some info on them in there. We need an online spreadsheet to record info or pick a system each n just share the finished files could work. The info is out there, even if its just the correct number of buttons lit up. Im off for 2 weeks now so will try and make a start.

bob.records Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 greatwork, I looked into the controls.ini but that not been upadted since 141. Sadly nothing to help with model 3 & naomi. I thinik either cab, control pannel or instruction card art is best bet & some games will show ingame. I evene looked in the mame drivers. But not documented. Mames the big 1 todo, the others minimal. My main intrest is taito x, model 2&3, naomi & atomiswave & the more popular missing mame games, Even if colors unknown I think we shoud atleast ensure correct number of buttons are lit. I think to keep it easy we just post setting files here and make todo list. What other systems are u concerned with ? Sega Model 2 Sega Model 3 Sega Naomi Atomiswave TaitoX Mame - HS xml If people are like us and have each emulator setup like below sharing should be easy b1 b2 b3 b4 b5 b6
