A big "Hi" to you all. First, sorry for my bad english grammatic I´m from germany and i´m a kid from the late 70´s. I´m more the kind of casual gamer and loved my consoles then. unfortunitly i´d put them in the trash or had sold them. today i´m badly missing my MD, NES, PS1. 6 years ago i first came in touch with emulators and i´d love it. Since 3 years i´m playing again and bought a PS3 and a XBONE. And today the retrofever/virus catches me. After some research i´d found this forum and now i´ll give it a try. the possibillities looking amazing and also what you guy´s had done so far. I think we will stay in touch...

Hey all! So after helping my friend Harry get his Fix it Felix Jr. up and running for the California Extreme show, I got a bit hooked! I am now (with Harry's help) looking to build a Mame machine/Steambox. My ultimate perfect world dream machine will utilize an arcade cabinet running Mame, and an standard joystick controls, an Xbox controller, and a keyboard and mouse. Not sure if this has been done yet, but I want my cabinet to dual function being a Mame and gaming computer. Now all I need is the money and time to make it all happen! Haha. I'll keep you all updated once I start my project. Jonathan www.Omnisonas.com [email protected]

Hi to everyone ;-) Just joined this Forum. I recently finished building one of my child's dream... to own an arcade cabinet at home. Right now it's using the "Games Family" with "2019 in 1" option. I upgraded the CPU from 2.4ghz to 2.8ghz and the Memory from 512mb to 2gb (which is the fastest the Motherboard can accept). Still I would love to be able to play some of the more recent games, and trying to convert my existing Cabinet to a Hyperspin. Here are some photos of my custom build I created based on some existing visuals of the Disc of Tron Cabinet. Let me know if anyone wants the Vector Printing file, I would be happy to share them with anyone interested fo…

Hey everyone, Just recently discovered hyperspin and really looking forward to getting into all of this. My wife is a huge pinball fan, and before discovering the forums here, I was considering buying her a pinball machine for Christmas. Now, I believe that I've changed my tune a bit, and after reading into a lot of the posts here I think I'd like to build my own (and save a few thousand dollars in the process). I haven't come across one yet, but I think that I would like to build a hybrid arcade cabinet/virtual pinball cabinet. I think one large back monitor in place of the standard back monitor/dmd combination would work better for us, and then the standard pinb…

Hi, former It engineer converted in logistics, I am still fond of old retrogames. I started off from old Apple ][, C64, PC XT-AT, Atari ST... and in the same time with old arcade cabinets wherein I used to spend too much money : Galaga, Gyruss & pooyan were the usual ones... Now I have 4 children, 12 arcades cabinets (various states of restoration) and too many PC/Mac machines to count... running with emulators and current games.... Well I do believe Hyperspin is a gorgeous frontend with lot of good ideas... Regards from Belgium Philippe
