Hi Guys back after a number of years. Holy $*&(% balls the Hyper list has gotten crazy long long. I know i'll probably get kicked but i have to ask. When is is hyperspin 2 coming? haha just kidding (unless its out). I've got a pretty sturdy version which runs nicely. I think is 1.3.2 off top of my head. Is there any major benefits in going to 1.5+? I've no idea of the release history in the last 3 years so i'm completely in the dark. Also is there any convert process like 1.33 to 1.4 or is it better to fresh install 1.5? cheers in advance Ben

Hello! I've finally taken the dive and am in the middle of creating a 4 person "portable" emulation station using hypersin as my front end. Creating a cab is something i've always wanted to do but never had the room. Now I have a house though so it's finally time! I I have been digging into this for the past couple weeks getting the PC parts and software configured before starting my cab build and was hoping someone might help me with a very odd issue. If I should post this elsewhere please let me know. I'd like to be an active community member and contribute to such a fun hobby. So here's the details: I am using Rocket Launcher and Hyper Spin …

Hi All, New member here. So - Bought a Vewlix Clone a few months ago, It came from France and was originally from a company called NeoLegend. I bought it second hand from the first owner user, it's an absolute beast and I love the thing It came with an "Arcade box" a little PC that it turns out runs emulators through... Hyperspin ! Ive also hooked up a PS3/4 and brook fighting boards so it can run a PC, Modern console or Arcade hardware with a HDMI splitter and teh original control loom left unbroken (ive done ad much as I can here ) Now i'm done with the hardware I am wanting a more complete list of games and some more modern titles emulated (Specifica…

So yeah... uh hi. Been planning on doing a retropie desktop arcade cabinet build. But I have a decent pc I just retired that I am thinking could handle games with a bit more technical demand. With that said, I was starting some research to see if there was a front-end for PC that was relatively user friendly. Hyperspin seems like it may have the best set-up for what I want to do. One of my concerns is, I want to be able to power on my arcade cabinet and have it boot right into Hyperspin. Is that something I am going to be able to do? I am sure you guys have a tutorial somewhere of what I am going to need to do that. Beyond my project, this is all somethin…

Hi, Bonjour, Buenas! I wanted to first say thanks to you all for an oustanding work you did with creating Hyperspin and more importantly keeping it updated. A little bit of myself, I'm a gamer from back to the Intellivision days (which I still have and works). I was part of the community which they used to call nerds since I was playing with my friends at DnD, WarHammer, HeroesQuest and was chatting on BBS boards and MIRC. I particated in the Super Mario Brothers 3 World competition which I'm proud came in the top20 for Canada's division. They had giving me a Mario Cap. A little bit older I was part of a Translation group which was part of the translatio…

Been on here for a little while now, thought it was time to say hi mates. My first gaming machine was the NES, played on friend's Atari's before that. Owned pretty much every Nintendo console there was, then a PS2 and then onto PC gaming. Pinball and arcade gaming through my teenage years. I have hyperspin and rocketlauncher installed and working. I have slowly been building my system and rom library up. Tip - I starting using a excel sheet to keep track of each system - database, theme, covers, vids, etc. as i would come back to this project after days or weeks and loose track of my progress. Was manually downloading covers, vids, wheels, etc, ver…

Hello everyone. New to Hyperspin, but I've built three retropi bartops. It's great to part of this amazing community and hope you can help me with my issue. I have Hyperspin working, but where I really need help is setting up my two player controls and have them work properly with Hyperspin and games. I am using a xinmo encoder for the controls. I have a two player setup. Each player has 6 buttons (buttons 1-6). I have a coin and start button for each player (buttons 8 and 7 8 being coin and 7 for start) I have four other buttons 9-12 for exit, mode, menu and play (in that order). I'm guessing Mode and Menu can be used for favorites and genre? I can …

It started with browsing old school table top pinball machines/toys. Then I ran across these two player consoles where all you have to do is plug a cable into your LCD. Something like this: AMAZON EXAMPLE Then I started watching youtube and see people take it a step further with full size cabinets and table top cabinets. Something like this: MINI CABINET EXAMPLE. I'll be referring to these two examples a lot below, so I'll say Amazon example or mini cabinet example. I soon realize there are so many sellers on eBay and their description makes me realize this is very much a DIY hobby. I can buy one, but that wouldn't be fun. I do have a DIY spirit and have a lot of to…

Hello all, just thought I should join in and introduce myself. Have converted one arcade cab using WinXP and Maximus Arcade, having a go at system number two, this time trying Hyperspin as Maximus is no longer supported and I'm having lots of bother with newer MAME builds not reacting to Maximus very well. Once I've got everything up and running fully intend to be a paid up (platinum) member. Other than that, if there is anything you would like to know, don't hesitate to ask (within reason!). Cheers all!

Hello to everyone, First time posting for me. I came here to help with the build of a bar top cabinet for my son's christmas present. I have the cabinet all put together already and have an old dell xps core2 duo with an nvidea GT610 GPU to run it all. I am expecting to have a bit of an effort on my hands to get everything up and running, hopefully Hypersync will sort me out, It looks like it will be worth taking out platinum membership for!

I just opened up an account and thought I'd give a hearty hello and salutation to all! I've been a gamer all my life and it's always nice to meet more who are just as enthused (read: sick) as myself. I look forward to getting to know some of you and although I have always been more of a lurker, I will try to be more outgoing here. -3rdman

So I just recently decided to look into emulation again now that I see there are usable model 2 and model 3 emulators that appear to be close to perfect (better than any ports so far at least). I pretty much have always used snes9x, Gens, and Mame .64 on my PC and retrosnes on the android along with mame4droid. These all work wonderfully especially the more powerful my processors have become over the years. I focus on fighting games and shooters mostly (KI2, MKII, things like that). However, I have toyed around with getting more roms working (maybe 100 working on my MAME PC right now) as well as MVC2 and the like (though I probably need a NAOMI emulator for that? I …

Hello Everyone! Long time lurker, first time poster. I found out about Hyperspin from a friend at Arcade Club in Bury and I've been tinkering away with it while I've been off work after an operation. I have been creating a few wheels for my own system and hopefully I'll upload them once I get the quality of them improved. I would like to say thanks to Simply Austin for his tutorials which helped me a lot and to everyone else who has uploaded their art. You are all amazing. Mekquake
