I think to answer the Why 3DO question now by all the thread responses is with one of these three answers:

1. Because it exists

2. Because you love it

3. Because you hate it and want to have a laugh with your friends - after a drunken Puyo Puyo marathon, switch them to Plumbers Don't Wear Ties and have a laugh and test their friendship.

4. Because you are working on a 'where are they now' documentary on FMV actors from the 90s

I cannot ignore this: There is a hack'n slash game with Kirk Cameron???? I MUST play this- maybe it was his pre- hot cocoa loving days.

Hahahaha, well since I made this thread back in like march/april I've added quite a bit to my 3DO wheel and entire setup in general...

Not sure how GOOD any of it is (does anyone remember actually PLAYING games?) I'm always spending my free time playing with the program itself.

Oh cruel irony....

I'm working on testing 3DO titles especially to filter out the non playable titles that are just movies. I'm going through the Japanese games but how is your 3do wheel? Do you use your own xml?  If your work makes mine unnecessary I'd rather put the time into a different system that still needs work. Thanks

3do's Burning Soldier = shameless GITS Tachikoma ripoff. But then again, international copyright laws weren't what they are now...

Having had a look on YouTube, I see what you mean!

I wonder how many people get the reference to "GITS Tachikoma"?

I've been contemplating trimming down my 3DO and even Saturn database to just system exclusives. A lot of the games were ported over to the PS1 as well and I think those versions are better emulated.

Like for example, I first played Road Rash for 3DO but I think the PS1 version is a better port, seemed to run a tad bit faster.

Another example is Gex. I don't know if it's the emulation itself of the 3DO, but the game seems jerky/slow when it scrolls, even with vsync enabled on all 3DO emulators I've tried. I don't know if that's how it actually WAS on real hardware though. The PS1 port is smooth as butter and doesn't have that problem.

However I'm a huge fan of the movie Demolition Man and the 3DO had the best port of the movie-to-game adaptation. Stallone even recorded special FMV footage not even in the movie for the game. I also loved Twisted and Crash & Burn but other than that, I don't play anything else on it.

On the Saturn I play Panzer Dragoon, Guardian Heroes and a few other's. A lot of the other titles like I said were ported over to the PS1 so I'd rather keep those versions.

I am......Machine
