This is great, honestly, and helped me out quite a bit. Thoughts on moving it on over to the tutorials section?

That's up to the moderators to either move this thread or lock it. If they lock this thread, I'll start a new thread over there.

Have anyone that followed this guide by the word and have a working Hyperspin? Mine doesn't launched any game until I ran HyperHQ and set MAME path/roms path - It isn't even mentioned on the tutorial. If I don't, the Hyperlaunch process gets called but no game actually launches.

That's one of the biggest problems I see, from a newbie perspective: There are TONS of guides on the internet and each one tell you to set up a different way. I gave up on HyperLaunch/RocketLauncher - It can't handle MAME correctly. It just gets keeping stuck on process list after the first game is closed. Hyperspin launches MAME just fine (as it should since it simply passes the "mame.exe rom.zip"). It's kind of unintuitive to search for fixes/patches for every problem - Tried on a vanilla (freshly downloaded HS+RL with no updates), tried updating RL. Same problem.

You stupid USA people!!

You did a tutorial that doesn't works!!!

I have spend 5 hours point by point and it doesn't work!!! Give me back my time!

If want help firstly DON'T be rude. Secondly your post has absolutely no information on it and is quite pointless. Now you're going to spend more explaining yourself.

The tutorials are not on point at all, lol. Half the shit in the installation video dont even come prepacked and in the case of RocketLauncher, dont exist anymore without a ton of searching. Not to mention the trouble I got when trying to figure out how to setup the new stupid RocketLauncher and HyperSync refusing to do anything than deny me a connection with some Sling2 error.

I've been struggling for almost 3 days now with this and cannot believe I threw $100 down the toilet.

I do not make tutorial videos. So do not complain on this thread about videos.

You can help this tutorial become better by posting what step you became stuck on.

I do this in my spare time and I am not actually affiliated with HyperSpin.

Ok walked through it again and this time I caught what was going on. There is a little quirk in rocketlauncher when it checks for legacy mode. It checks for legacy mode before it ever checks the parameters to be sent. This is frustrating, I'll put up a quick fix, but hopefully the hyperlaunch team can fix this little quirk.

Updated the 1.3.3 install compatibility fix file and included source.

A side note, this probably all would have been solved weeks ago if someone had posted their rocketlauncher troubleshooting log on www.rlauncher.com

noob question....where is that magnifying glass to set a default emulator? am trying to setup a snes set and can´t find the magnifying glass...

On the emulators tab when you have a system other than global selected. You should see a place to add rom locations. Under this box there is another box for the default emulator. Now this box is labeled default emulator. Attached to the right of this default emulator box is the maginifying glass.

My RocketLauncherUI can not update. I click the "Check Updates" button and i get an error. Whats going on?

That is probably a question best asked at www.rlauncher.com.  Please post as much detail as possible and maybe also the RLUI log.

(it seems that i have missed the fun :wallbash: )

we have this new thing called RocketLauncher (still didnt use it , going too see how it works now)

but my question is what happend to HyperLaunch and HyperLaunchHQ , is these still supported and i can continue my work with it or its better to move to the RocketLauncher

Thanks

BTW , i have a problem with HyperLaunchHq , the List of the Systems is Empty ??? Why ???

The developers for RocketLauncher and HyperLaunchHq left and started RocketLauncher. They left because they wanted to support more front ends than hyperspin. Therefore the name changed but not the program. So it's essentially the same thing.

Your btw question is not a good fit for this thread.
